Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

This should be interesting to hear when it comes out Megadeth did a cover of Ride The Lightening on the new album. A rare humble moment from Dave.

Another banger from Trivium off the upcoming EP Struck Dead

sounds killer

Is it going to be a cover though, or new lyrics/Dave's Version like Mechanix? Also does it count as a cover if the original songwriter is recording it?

It will be like Mechanix he said right there they sped up the tempo a bit and messed with the solo. Not really sure about the second part he must have the rights to do it he just wants to stick it to Metallica one last time. imho

Who the fuck wanna hear a 60 yr old cover ride the lightning. EW!

It was already recorded in total perfection in 1984 by hellions in their prime.

Of course he was going to speed it up, cause his dick is bigger than Metallica's or something. And I wonder if he gets Teemu to play the solo and rip something to blow Kirk out of the water, or if he tries to do it himself.

Been loving the new Malefic Throne, crushes and is so heavy!

Steve Tucker (Morbid Angel)
John Longstreth (Origin, Angelcorpse, many others)
Gene Palubicki (Angelcorpse)

The second Lamb of God single. Man these guys sound like they are 20 again. o_O

No, he flat out seems to be trying to mend bridges. He'll just play faster as that was their style back in the day, which I'm sure he wants to re-capture. Megadeth live shows used to (still do but used to to) have insane speed when they were all hopped up on goofballs.
