Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

Not even close Hank. It's not bad though.

Pretty sure it's leaked.

Yeah it got leaked because people received their pre-orders already.
I think it's one of the best DM records I've ever heard, the technicality, sound and drumming is on another level. I'm not much of a USDM guy though, I'm guessing your favorite DM Album is one of the classic American ones?

i thought the EQ was off. The new Blood Incantation reminded me a ton of Intronaut. I don't know my favorite. More than likely because progdeath/tech death have so much overlap its hard to choose.

Edit: My favorite band though is Be'lakor and it's by a country mile. Followed up by Revocation.

probably still the best live metal performance i’ve ever seen. i was absolutely hammered but these fuckers blew the roof off.

Check out MØL if you haven't already. They do a similar kind of blackgaze to Deafheaven. Their debut album was one of my favourite albums of last year. Just the perfect mix of beautiful music and brutality. They're unbelievably good live too.

I have a ton of Sleep and OM bootlegs I procured over the years. Al Cisneros is my favorite bassist ever. Streaming some of their lovely live shows

The new Blood Incantation is Album of the Year for sure, just completed it and it's fucking mindblowing and possibly the best Death Metal record ever.

Not heard them, but checking Wiki -

"blending the bright melodicism of late-period Death with the alien tones of Morbid Angel circa Domination."

By rights I should be all over this like a drunk on a kebab.

In fact, chuck in a bit of Primus and you've got three consecutive London nights in September '95 all rolled up into one bizarre band.

Give it a try, brother.

Just listened to the single "Slave Species of the Gods" after seeing your post. Cosmic death metal? Fucking sick. Kinda glad I came upon this post with less than 2 days til the albums release lol. Good looking out.

Is this your first death metal album? <DCWhoa>

They're a fine band, good live but the best death metal album ever? Not even top 100 ever. Enjoy it though, it's a good album.
