Think you could hack it in medieval times? Kind of hard to believe just how long it was, modern times has only been less than 200 years while medieval times was over 1000. Wouldn't mind being a peasant in a safe area away from raiding foreign armies, plague centers, civil wars etc. running around in an enchanting forest.

Not sure if I would like castle life too much even though it wasn't as bad or as dark as some of us might have believed. I think I would be a good "lord" to my servants and private army.

the good old days, work, eat, bang, kings and princes die all the time, apocalyptic plagues and the sweet and glorious death in hand to hand combat

Dude plowing would be a SERIOUS fucking bummer. Like I fucking want to blow my brains out after two hours of lawn mowing, imagine that times 10,000.

You'd have beasts of burden and your family to help plus you only have to do it once a year. After that you pray for a good harvest while learning other skills throughout the rest of the year. Peasants didn't slave away all the time. They got to travel on pilgrims to the holy lands and got to go to festivals and tournaments.

Imagine the look on medieval types faces after getting touched by a jab, after only being to used to fighting with long bows & swords!

Any how, I watched this a while ago and found this pretty interesting. There's still hundreds of year old buildings built this was, which are still in use.
