The Medieval thread

Did chicks shave back then? If not then I’m out.

lol I don't think they did. Women had hairy armpits not too long ago, we got lucky.

You'd have beasts of burden and your family to help plus you only have to do it once a year. After that you pray for a good harvest while learning other skills throughout the rest of the year. Peasants didn't slave away all the time. They got to travel on pilgrims to the holy lands and got to go to festivals and tournaments.

Man I think you have it a bit idelaized. I think they worked their damn asses off. I'd be a blacksmith if anything, but fuck doing agricultural shit back then. That's shit wasn't fun at all.

You need to watch "Excalibur", 1981, a few times...

I’d fuck one of those old time bitches even if she smelled like lutefisk.

I hate how the movies portrays battle scenes so wrong. Knights slicing through mail armor instantly killing the guy bugs me.

I think it would take a bit more than that to kill someone. Those battles must have been so brutal with so much protection. As bad as this may sound I would really like to the see the battles just to know exactly how these people killed each other up close and personal with those weapons and armor.

agreed. also go cut lumber for 5 minutes. It's pretty tiring. Now imagine stress and death all around you. I think we have zero idea what battle actually looked like. Probably pretty pathetic TBH. That or FAR more organized than we are led to believe these days.
