Media The Masterful Destruction of Rampage By Jon Jones

I think you need to watch those clips a few times at 25% speed

Almost nothing actually landed.
Are you trying to argue Jones strikes landed but Reyes did not? Lol. Just admit Jones get lit up every time he faces a guy his own size

No, I'm trying to say that you can count the amount of strikes Reyes landed cleanly on two hands.

You posted clips of him dodging 99% of strikes thrown yet can't seem to see It.

Ok you’re trolling at this point

Yeah these strikes didn’t land either

I never said he didn't hit him.

Only that Reyes landed far less than most people realize.

And what he did land was glancing.

Your assertion is that he just lit him up the whole fight, but when you watch each sequence in slow motion, that simply isnt true.

You posted a clip of him dodging 99% of the strikes thrown and said he landed 90% lol

I'm trying to be nice here but this is you not knowing what you're watching.

He landed far more than Jones. That reach and size advantage was non existent so that’s why Reyes landed so much.

I can remember several significant huge shots Reyes landed on Jones but I can’t remember not one huge strike Jones landed on Reyes. It was a blatant robbery

Bro. You literally posted a clip of him dodging 99% of the strikes thrown and said he landed 90% lol

They all landed though. Reyes picked his shots and were money every time. Watch in slo mo if you need to

He's a lucky guy for sure. Yan definitely could use it :(

True
He's a special fighter. 10 years of dominance. You could understand how truly being motivated on the same level for each fight became an issue.

As Jones said, he reached a point at LHW where it was just another day at the office.

I believe someone like Jones needs a challenge, something to prove in order to tap into his full potential. Which is why HW is a different animal.

And some people should be careful in taking his less impressive performances at face value.

Jones takedown of Rampage were he threw Rampage on his head was next level stuff. I cant find the gif

When you watch back Jones vs Shogun/Machida/Rashad/Rampage, he looks like a weight above. He was one of the first LHW this big before guys like Gus and Reyes.

Rewatched it few weeks ago. Masterclass, you could see it from the first second, Rampage was helpless in just about everything. Levels to this game. Too of a limited fighter to fight young Jon Jones.

So defending his belt isnt high stakes? lol k
I think it's tricky

Across all sports, you see pretty extreme fluctuations of performance, relative to the level of opposition.

I think it's fair to assume that a fighter isn't always performing at their peak potential.

Jones himself said that fighting just became another day at the office.

I think that perfectly describes how Jones looked against OSP and Reyes. The sort of fire and urgency we seen against Rampage wasn't there.

When you see your opponent as just another pawn in the game, I think you see a different fighter compared to when there's something to prove. A challenge to be overcome. Especially in the case of Jones.

Every fight. It'll be interesting if he tries it with the new rule set where it could result in a point after the first poke.

Has he done it at all since the Glover fight? That's the only actual eye poke people can seem to point to; even the Rampage gif here is just Jones advancing with his fingers out and Rampage not liking it.

I do recall that as soon as the rules changed to require your fingers up instead of out, Jones complied immediately and never seemed to have issues with it again. People may not like his stance prior to that, but it was within the rules, and he simply took advantage of those rules.
