Media The Masterful Destruction of Rampage By Jon Jones

If only those judges and compustrike had the ability to understand the Nuance of the sport like you.
So I analyzed the fight in slow motion and can confirm that you’re full of shit. Reyes landed cleanly far more than 10 times.
No

He didn't

You just know about 10% as much as you think you do.

What’s pathetic is trying to justify Jon’s cheating by implicating others with no evidence. Post your proof or stfu.
The mental gymnastics are incredible

The real question is

Why does the fact that Jones is the greatest fighter in the history of the sport hurt your miniscule reality

Why do you care enough to go to such lengths to discredit him?

Just playing with y'all lol

I'm a long time UG poster
Trying to take away Reyes victory over Jones more than the NSAC did,you can go back to the shadow realms for all I care!

Reyes 123!

Reyes did good.

But in reality, it was more down to Jones than anything.

Reyes barely landed anything. Anyone who suggests otherwise has mediocre understanding of defense.

Show the fight to an astute, long time fan of boxing and you'll see exactly what I mean. MMA fans know nothing about defense.

If you go deep into scoring, you can argue that he won 123, but 2 was close

And the 4th and 5th were the most significant of the entire fight.

You can't claim robbery and conviction in victory when the dude got handled in the champ rounds.

Reyes did good. He challengedJones in the kicking realm, which he said he needed to do in order to attain victory.

But it wasn't enough

He could still barely hit him.

And took his feet off the gas when it mattered most.

I think we just have different definitions of what quantities victory.

And it's a testament to how good Jones is. Even miniscule victories stoke the flames.

Like I said earlier in the thread, this is a matter of levels in terms of analysis.

MMA analysts don't understand defense. It's that simple.

No

He didn't

You just know about 10% as much as you think you do.
Considering that I’ve actually competed in MMA, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Jiu Jitsu competitions, I’d estimate that my 10% of knowledge is 100% more based in reality, and factually accurate, than yours.

YEA when someone wins 3 rounds out of 5 they win. Even when reyes gassed in the 4th and 5th jones didnt do all that much, and he had a chance to close the show

You're a good smarter.

A smart guy

And I agree with most of what you say

But I think you know as well as I do that these hours are far more nuanced than they appear on the surface.

What nuance

All you have to do is count.

There was no 10 - 8s in 4 and 5

I don’t need to discredit him, his failed drug tests do that all on their own.
Jones is hands down the greatest of all the cheating fighters. No question. The fact that you try to hand wave away facts to fit your narrative just shows how delusional your minuscule reality is.

In that sense, then I apologize

And I give you full respect.

However, that doesn't dispute anything I've said.

Jones is one of the least cleanly hit fighters in the history of the sport and acting like such stats are absolute speak volumes to your flaws in thinking.

Most people don't like chronic cheaters who also happened to be shitty human beings.

He believes that Reyes landed less than 10 clean strikes on Jones. It’s obvious that he can’t count and simply has a bone for Jones.

You're attacking a strawman here brother.

I never suggested at any point that Jones wasn't a user.

In fact, I acknowledge such truth very openly.

That being said

Intelligence and wisdom is also being aware of the reality that he vast majority of high level athletes are using something.

There's only one MJ. One Lebron James. Kobe. Jon Jones.

And there's a reason for it.

Athletes can't just take juice and magically Believe it's going to make them the greatest of all time.

Most fighters are on something bro. There's only one Jon Jones.

I used to be naive like this, but you watch Icarus and come to terms with the realty of sports.

And at that point you just let it go.

But I respect your background. I'm sure you know a lot. But that doesn't discount the points I've made here.

Time out. I said nothing about stats being absolute. My gripe came from the “hit cleanly less than you can count on 2 hands” comment. Beyond that, I agree that he is hit far less than most fighters, but the times he fought other giants of men, he was caught surprisingly often which only served to demonstrated his iron chin. It’s actually quite easy to not be hit when your almost 1/2 a foot taller, with almost a foot of reach, while also extending you outstretched fingers into your opponents eyes.

Watch it like that 5+ times dude.

The vast majority of people would be shocked how little this guy is actually being hit

I hold that he's the best defensive fighter of all time.

Even in his least impressive victories, he just isn't being hit.

People are bringing up stats and looking at surface level shit but ignoring the reality here.

And all due respect, in spite of your fighting IQ, it's still indicative of less than ideal analysis.

Intelligence and wisdom will teach you not to make accusations unless you have some proof to back it up. You can assume, but you know what they say about assumptions.
You sound like the cheating husband who justifies his behavior by saying, “most husbands cheat on their wives, so that still makes me the greatest husband of all time.”
