Make one with your Anderson Silva Darth.
His big eyes will give you space to work.

Here you go.

The wink is a nice touch!

Heh, just the way the flames I sampled played out. I adjusted them so at least one of the eyes had more of a flicker, but I didn't plan on it looking like a wink.

Oh. Still looks noice!

It's not just you. Moff Fring is off course a A-Level actor, but he lacked the sheer menace and power of true heavyweights like Vader, Palpatine or even Maul. You need someone with either Dark Side powers or some other form of enhancement to pose a real threat to Mando. The finale showed the difference between Force users and normal humans: Mando, for all his training, experience and Beskar armour struggled against a single Dark Trooper droid. Luke literally walked through a whole platoon of them and crushed the last one like an empty soda can. Without even breathing hard:cool:

The most accepted canon tells us that generally mandolorians would take out jedi since their armor stops lightsabers and they have so many tricks. It’s kind of a styles make fights thing IMO. Obviously Luke is probably the most potent character in that timeframe though.

In the Solo novels, Boba Fett was a ridiculously powerful character, and he would have been a huge challenge for Luke but obviously the scene at Sarlacc was chaotic as fuck.

Same. Gideon isn't very compelling unfortunately

I think the set him up as the cerebral long term villain. Not necessarily a physical threat but he set up conflicts between Mando and his allies brilliantly.

Also we haven't seen Grogu use the force after being rescued so we don't know if any long term damage was done to his connection to the force.

I like that Gideon seems to be much more of the intellectual, manipulation type villain than the straight up stand and fight type.

He's ok, not Thrawn/Vader/Palp level but better than Snoke/Ren/Hux.

One really good thing about the face CGI is that they can tweek it and make it look better as time goes on.

Sooo.... what did they spend the budget for this show on exactly? The sets look cheap, the outfits look awful, the special effects are fan video tier, and the CGI is just bleh. Where are they spending all their money?

Genuinely curious here. You guys think he's worthy as a lead big bad? I see him as a supporting cast villain - he's like Grievous without the dueling skills. Basically he's Hux, a mean-spirited guy who sometimes gets the upper hand, but ultimately a shambling doofus of a villain who's only fit to be force choked by someone like Vader or offed with a humiliating ending like Boba got in ROTJ.

He never wins an engagement. In the S1 finale, he's presented as the face of the Empire, big bad and Werner Herzog's boss (big WTF there). He's then defeated by Mando and his ragtag team and outgunned in aerial combat by a dude with a jetpack.

In S2, his arms shipment is hijacked by Mando & Co and despite ordering his man to kamikaze the ship in a sacrifice play, he can't even get that right.

He does successfully kidnap baby Yoda, but even then he never puts a dent in the good guys' roster. They never show any actual results of studying Grogu's blood, and grogu himelf is shown none the worse for the wear - no PTSD, no darkside anger/fear, not even any physical damage. He never wins an engagement or harms/kills a single good guy, loses his duel with Mando, attempts to shoot Koska Reeves and grogu without success and then gets KTFO'ed by fucking Gina Carano

I loved the finale and the series but Gideon sucks ass. He's a way less cool bad guy version of Indiana Jones from Raiders. He could have been completely absent from S2 and everything would have happened exactly the same.

That face cgi was hilariously bad. Blade Runner 2049 did it near perfection.

There was one video I saw that said that most of the budget was sent elsewhere like the Dark Troopers. And instead of using 3D mapping like the did in Rogue One, they used your standard CGI effects like in a video game. Missed opportunity to me, but still forgivable.
