Cad Bane would be 71 yrs old at this point, but nobody knows what his "Duros" species lifespan is. No way he's a Mando. No honor code. He doez not "walk the way of teh Mandalore."

This series takes place 9 ABY... which is:
  • 5 years after Return of the Jedi (Ep. 6) &
  • 23 years before The Force Awakens (Ep. 7)
The empire wasn't truly defeated until a year after Return of the Jedi (Ep. 6) & the remnants of the empire were still active... though they were supposed to be disarmed. New Republic was still having trouble picking up the pieces from the wars & creating a sense of unity in the galaxy.

Interestingly Luke is wandering around collecting artifacts n stuff so he could show up. Han Solo was starting another import/Export business & became pretty successful, so we could run into him & Chewy. Kylo Ren (Ben Solo) would be 4 years old. My fave MILF Ahsoka Tano (dibs) could easily be around somewhere. Rey Skywalker will be born in 6 yearz, which means that her day... Sid's son... (ie... a failed clone of Sid's) could be wandering around.

Obviously they wanted the child for his DNA which points directly toward Sid being the ultimate end buyer... wouldn't it be cool if Sid himself showed up in an episode.

It's a pretty cool time period to explore.

The Nerd is strong with this one!:D

For sure Cad Bane could make a showing. I'm a big fan myself... & have seen sic as fook cosplays on video shot from Disneyland's Star Wars area. Looked great... so I know they could translate that to film.

I don't know if they could fook up with Ahsoka too bad with Roserio Dawson cued up to play her. We don't know for sure she's going to make a showing in Mando, but it's a pretty strong reality that she's going to make a showing somewhere.

I say get fooking Ian Mcdermit in there while he's still alive ya know. major opportunity missed if they don't bring him into the fold imo.

They got their young Han from the movie, & chewie's easy. What species is Art Vandeley? :p

Yeah, I'd love to see Palpatine retconned and redeemed after the abortion of Rise. Both Ian and Sideous deserve a better legacy.

I liked the episode but am disappointed that they setup another season that could be mostly side stories. If it's just the two flying from location to location until they find some Mandalorians that point them in a direction such that there is further flying from location to location (with a conflict to resolve at each location) until they find some Jedi I might check out.

This show is basically a modern day Xena, Hercules and I love it. It's a breath of fresh air.

I wasn't very fond of those either, but a big difference between the two is the amount of content you're looking at. Those were 20+episode shows per season (at least the middle seasons of Hercules). If last season is anything to go by, we'll get 8 or so episodes with content that could be delivered in 4.

It's not an accident that modern shows with around 10 episodes in a season are also shows that focus on overarching story lines and less on being episodic. If the point of this show is to be a weekly crowd pleaser I think it still comes up short, because if that's the case I'd hope to see a greater variety of episodes like what you see in the shows you mentioned or something like TNG.

s2 ep 1 was way better than any ep s1

looks like they got a major budget increase

lots of cool subtle things with creatures and characters from old star wars movies added in

really enjoyed it

Its been a really long while since Ive been so looking forward to a new episode from a show each week. It just has the right atmosphere combined with the soundtrack and at its core is the adventure angle and this open space Firefly thing. We might not get a "gang" of characters but they are slowly building up known characters.
Love it.

I'm not super in to the star wars lore (universe) - but would Baby Yoda be alive during the events of the Rey Rey Binks Saga (provided he survives).

I was really hoping he'd make an appearance in that last movie (come in and kick some ass).

also, what I would like to see is one of these self aware droids to have force ability

that could make for an interesting character

Early thoughts

Baby Yoda is still adorable.

Even though the trailer spoiled the Fight Club Fight I still liked it.

Soon as I heard Tatooine, Boba Fett hype intensified.

When Mando drove past a large skeleton on the way to the settlement I was just wondering if Kyatt Dragons on Tatooine were still a thing...

Imposter in Fett Armor was some blue balls

Kyatt Dragon!!!

Sand People!

Oh shit! Hessss backkk!

I remember in the EU Bubba killed the Saarlaak. I wonder if something similar will be the case here.

I’ve got 2 Ender 5s, a pro and a regular and a CR-X Pro. I run a small store on Etsy selling prints but always try to find time to make stuff for myself and family.
You're going to love this thing the Creality CR-30 belt printer. Apparently you can set it up to continuously print parts down the conveyor belt automatically. Really eases the effort but I would recommend an enclosure. It's based off an open source idea that apparently the designer ok it. The open source one is huge you could print big pieces and he said it would cost 2k to build. The CR-30 is much more compact.

is Rosario confirmed? I don't see her name attached just that wrestler chick
I think a few days ago I saw an article citing maybe Disney India Instagram trivia or something confirming Rosario is Ahsoka and the article said it was later deleted but had screenshot of it.

Great episode. I thought they would release all the episodes at once lol. Fuckers.

I’ve seen a bunch about the CR-30. It’s looks cool but I wouldn’t get a lot of use out of it. I like to print bigger things that I sell but nothing that would do well on a system like that.
