retcons are all good, I was just rewatching the cartoon on disney + and thinking about things that could show up in future works
Wait did Mando get a new helmet and how did he do that if he never takes his helmet off?
also how does he eat or get dental surgery?
Imagine trying to sleep in that shit.
I do wonder why even get Pedro Pascal
Is he even there or is it voice over?
Fuck it just get some guy
This and Gwendoline Christie never showing their face absolutely baffles me
The Mandalorian did not turn out the way I pictured it would.
When I first learned that this series was in the works, for whatever reason, reading online speculation most likely, I imagined that we would be getting something very weighted, dramatic and complex. It could be that the waterboarding of premium drama series I have been put through in the last few years, such as The Sopranos, the daddy of these types of shows, and the lack of lighter "just for the fun of it" series, like Stranger Things, created a conceptual hangup of about the types of shows I thought I would find compelling.
With The Mandalorian, we have something thas has just enough story, character, depth, and diversity to justify all the shoosting and asskicking. The show takes itself seriously in that its creators want it to look good, to be coherent, to connect with the audience, but it's been going out of its way to not be bogged down by the writer's equivalent of over-engineering. The Mandalorian is like the shows I was raised on. Star Trek TOS and TNG, Saturday morning cartoons. It's fun, it's light, with the right amount of morality, politics, and human(sentient being?) relationships.
I hope the showrunners don't fall victim to an ever-increasing need to outdo the last action sequence.
When I realized I wasn't getting The Mandalorian: Game of Thrones, I wasn't disappointed to my own surprise. The show has been a real treat 3 episodes. Quite satisfied so far with something I didn't even know I wanted.
Wasn't Filoni in charge of Clone Wars cartoon? Clone Wars had a ton of really shitty episodes.Damn, the 3rd episode was the strongest so far. Even though you pretty much knew what was going to go down it still was a great watch. Saw it twice. Lot of great moments

So far I'd say this is the best Star Wars Disney has put out. They really need to let Favreau and Filoni run things going forward.
Quick ep 3 review/thoughts (spoilers)
Mando Ep 3 is the best episode of this series so far
Well making up for the last episode's spinning of wheels
Nostalgia done right, like that black doctor ball robot, classic telescope machine view etc etc
The story progresses and like I thought, he hands baby over and feels bad about it and storms the gates to get him back
Now that mandos have the baby I am very interested to see what happens next
This is a great tribute to Star Wars for real star wars fans and I have great confidence in this show at the moment, I still can't say the same for the movies however
but I will continue to watch this TV show with an optimistic view
Aw those bastards did have to write in that Mandos can never take off their helmet?
Like never? Like never ever ever
Fuck it I will have to google Pedro Pascal's face if I want to see it I guess
Love Carl Weathers
Even love that evil emperor guy - the old man with the raspy slow voice. He's intimidating and I like him , seems like a true and true asshole
I like at the end Mando gives baby the thing to play with
I feel Mando is developing as a character now and really enjoy his relationship to Yoda baby
This slower paced story telling is actually a plus for star wars, not like the fast paced all over the place prequel action where a million conflicting set pieces crash into a 2 hour window, which might have been more enjoyable as a slow episodic series
Anyway I am about to re-watch ep 3, the first time I rewatched an ep of this
Good times
TL /DR
Cliffs : It's pretty good so far
