This might seem just like some weird movement to have non-historically accurate actors play historical figures but its either an attack or a symptom more likely the later to be fair of a weakening of the culture. There is a movement that wants people to no longer have pride in the history of their people.
Its a symptom of a weak culture that allows its heroes to be done away with. This is why the Chinese are modernizing Muslim buildings and religious houses. They want the Muslims to see nothing unique about themselves so they will give in to the larger collective easier.
