Here's something a lot less awesome.

In high school, one year the band was asked to play Stairway to Heaven for the graduation ceremony. A high school band.

Our first chair trumpet said "screw that", because it was as lame as it sounds and she wanted to continue to have a social life.

The conductor asked me to play it because I could play any of the brass instruments (I was first chair french horn) and there was a huge trumpet solo, and I said yes.

Even if this doesn't sound incredibly lame on it's face, understand that the trumpet player was pretty hot, I'd had designs on her for months and actually had a shot, and playing the solo reduced that shot to a zero percent chance of success.

I live with that regret to this day.

Solo was fun, though, even if it was lame.

damn.. the female trumpet players I've known were always meh.

& if the one you knew was1st & was playing solos... her embouchure must have been magnificent.

I rarely post there...I go there just to challenge some of the far right arguments made and see if there is a semblance of reason to these folks

I think he should go with Jones, progressives would love it and Justice needs a shake imo. They fell off white collar crime completely after 9/11. I think 2008/9 was the first major financial crises where heads didn't roll.
