Trump was never a conservative. I actually thought when he was elected that he would do nothing to push any conservative agenda. I was wrong. He did quite a bit and even if it is for popularity, I doubt many care. Policy is policy and very few believe that any politician saying the right things is just that. Its the policies that matter

Most undocumented people i know actually give no shit about Trump or Biden, they are working 10hours a day in jobs where everyone else is also illegal and they wonder, who would do their jobs if they were deported?

And that's why you know Republicans are full of shit, they can talk about walls all day but they could "fix" immigration by forcing business to implement E-Verify at a federal level and giving hash punishment to business who fail to implement it.

The Republican idea of "fixing immigration" consists of making it nearly impossible. Their voting records dont lie. They vote against hiring more judges. They vote against protections for undocumented CHILDREN who dont even speak English and have to go to Court alone. They vote against funding for border agents under the guise that adding more processing agents means more Latinos. They vote against more funding for better training Border Patrol so they're not illegally hassling U.S. citizens away from the border as instances of that have increased in recent years with that stupid bill that gave them some authority for like a hundred miles inward from the border.

Then they fill their constituents heads with xenophobia, the general disgust that they could be living next to someone different than they are, who MUST be "illegals." They are fully aware that this is one of their only issues they can rouse their base into voting for them on, which is why they are currently obstructing border policy reform. Theyve openly admitted this, and they've admitted it would help Biden and make Democrats look GOOD. Its partisan hackery at its finest, and it's making sh*t worse. You're just being bamboozled because they sell the idea of an America with less minorities, and where the ones who are here now have less legal protections so they can be a permanent underclass, nothing more.

The democrats ideaof border control is there is no such thing as an illegal.

The only funding they want is to make it as fast and easy as possible for anyone for anyone for any reason. They have no intention of controlling the border. Which they are great with as long as its not on their doorstep. ( keep them busses rolling). The reason there are unaccompanied minors is the democrats border policies. A open border in all but name. Fuck that. There should be requirements to get in and become a citizen.

First secure the border then we can talk about who stays and who goes and the requirements. Then we can talk about how hard it really is to get in

Republicans have controlled both houses many times since E-Verify was a thing, they controlled it for two years under Trump and they have never campaigned about making it a federal requirement either.

They would rather give the rubes something to jerk to like promises of civil war, walls and mass deportations and rounding up brown people into camps.

But never, ever have they really pushed for the easiest way to do it, which is to go against people that give jobs to illegals.

This is like if someone was tasked with getting rid of pigeons from a park, and instead of banning people who feed them, he proposes using shit like shooting them with guns in the middle of the city while still allowing people to feed them.

Most people with a brain knows that doing that would immediately cause a hard economic recession, that's why Democrats want to do immigration reform to at least ensure there will be a way to replace lost labor, Republicans just love the Status Quo because that way they can keep people happy with cheap labor while railing against the border crisis every election cycle.

So you answered the question. No democrats are going to support and infact will fight going after enforcement of e verify.

I'll call out the Republicans for not supporting this.

However the first step to fixing this is controlling the border. It doesn't work any other way and it's been done before with the fucked up amnesty when Ragan was in. He believed the democrats and it didn't happen.

And yet it was Dems that made E-Verify and it was Dems that initially militarized the border to where it is now.

The fact is that the US has relied too much of immigrant labor and that is not going to go away until there is first a way to replace lost labor.
