You gotta understand Jake speaks to a clueless, retarded audience. He says stupid shit that makes no sense because enough people will believe him. That's why he says things like "i'm this generation's Mike Tyson". He does all of this for clout. Promotion. Impressing dumb fucks. He can invest in WME all he wants, he will still have absolutely no power over it. But then again, his fanbase is too stupid to understand that.

Btw, if he cares about fighter pay so much, why did he made so many millions himself? He is the CEO, right? So he is his shitshow's UFC. Why didn't he pay a lot more money to his fighters?
Because he is no different than average sherdoggers
You guys are crying about fighter pay all the time but if you were the boss, you would do the same

You think you know me? You know me wrong. I have never in my life aspired to be a cunt.

And paid himself around half of the total PPV. How about the other fighters? How much did the multi time world champion that fought on his card made? Exactly, peanuts.

Again, why did Jake paid himself millions and millions of dollars? Why didn't he give more money to the rest of the card?

Btw, Tyron isn't worth what Jake paid. Tyron can't sell PPV's unless he is fighting a celebrity. What Jake did was buy clout. He paid some old dude some ridiculous amount of money so he could have a win over a "world champion" in his record. If the UFC paid guys like Tyron millions of dollars, it would be bankrupt by now. To get millions, generate millions.
bud you sound ignorant as fuck, and thoroughly uneducated about the matter, it has been widely reported that Jake took one million of his own dollars and gave each and every fighter a bonus on the 1st woodly vs Jake card

He told you that personally, or do you have a link?
That is obviously the case and you don't need a link because you can just use common sense. The amount that Jake Paul was asking from Dana to give to the fighers was absurd, and was blatantly unrealistic to make these big of financial changes in just a couple months. Jake Paul wanted Dana to decline because it makes the whole situation look like a "good guy Jake vs bad greedy CEO Dana" so he purposefully made the conditions ridiculous. In addition, whenever Dana talks shit about Jake and about how much of a joke he and Triller or whatever promotion he is with are, Jake can always pull this card and state that if Dana wanted Jake to stop boxing then he could of took his deal. In reality Jake Paul has zero pull with the UFC so even if the conditions were fair Dana wouldn't take the deal because Jake is irrelevent to him. He is not (yet at least) causing UFC PPV numbers to drop. This was purely a publicity stunt. Chess not checkers

Latter. They would be buying common stock presumably. So it doesn't matter how much they buy since there are shares that have far more voting power, the ones that Dana and Ari and other executives would hold. So it doesn't matter if Paul's new company invests a billion dollars, they aren't getting that proportion of votes. They had to know that, hence I think it's more of a scam in this instance.

Also the nauseating mentions of Web 3.0 are an instant red flag in this instance, for me personally.

For the record, despite his motivations, I think his publicity has been a net good easily.

It's not here because it's a scam. His investment fund will never have voting power in WME or the UFC.

1 million is not that much money when divided for so many fighters. My point still stands: Jake took most of the PPV, paid millions of dollars to him and Tyron, and the rest of the card didn't really make that much money. A very small card, i may add. The UFC has much bigger cards.

imagine being this big of a mark

<45>

"oh my gudness Jake Paul is going to advocate on behalf of MMA fighters"

Meanwhile his fights are distributed by the same company (Showtime) that owns Bellator which has paid undercard fighters as low as $250.

https://fansided.com/2018/02/07/bellator-contract-surfaces-revealing-250-dollar-fighter-purse/

If Jake Paul was serious about this issue he would fix the pay his own promoters pay MMA fighters as well as boxers who fight on his undercard.

The one thing this might do is give him the ability to attend shareholder meetings and possibly harass Dana even if that harassment doesn't result in anything tangible.

lol @ this being the heel turn.

anyone that ever saw Jake as a face is fuckin ignorant.

That’s why I said Ari Emmanuel. He is the CEO of WME. Dana’s boss

Yeah but I think Dana might attend also given he's the CEO of the main subsidiary. It's not just the CEO there answering questions then again I don't think every corp does this the same exact way. But anyhow he's doing this for some reason so just speculating on what that might be.

Some old dude? Lol Woodley was only two years removed from being UFC champion when they first fought.
