Cool so you want to talk ranked wins, title defenses...? Which is it?

Yeah that's what I thought

Fine, you may want to talk about win streak, USADA, modern MMA then ?

But but but he's biased... {<jordan}

Am I doing this right?
ahhhh.....those were the days when Matt Serra wasn't eating pizza 5 times per week!! Bless Matt!!

It's utterly ridiculous and flat out disrespectful to the legend they call GSP. There's not even an honest argument to be made in Usman's favor. It's not close at all. Even if you believe he is the "best" his "greatness" is not even comparable.

GSP :

- Only 2 fights in the UFC, then offered a title shot that he lost.
- Only had to make 4 fights for another title shot that he immediately lost against a former LW.

Kamaru :

- Had to wait being 9-0 in the UFC to get a title shot.

<seedat>
GSP: avenged both losses, went on to set every record as champ at WW, most remain unbeaten today, faced legit competition in almost every fight. also carried himself as a professional inside and outside the octagon better than any champ
before or since. In short, fuck off, GSP earned that shit.

If offered a title fight in his second fight only, Usman would likely have a title defense count well over 11. Just saying <seedat>

But you're obviously too smart not to see that <GOT2>
Lol.
The run of 9 title defenses GSP went on began in his 18th pro fight (17th if we count from the interim title win over Hughes).
Usman won the UFC WW title in his 16th pro fight. He had 5 defenses.

GSP smashes his accomplishments even if we started counting at a relatively equal point. Hell, when it was all said and done, GSP had less losses on his record with 29 pro fights than Usman has with 23.

Kamaru Usman had 5 title defences and two of those defences were against the same person oh and

GSP

  • Wins in Championship match 12

  • Championship record: 12-2 (85.71%)

  • Non Championship record: 6-0

  • Championship Defences: 9

Decision 8

Kamaru Usman

  • Wins in Championship match 7

  • Championship record: 6-2 (75%)

  • Non Championship record: 9-0

  • Championship Defences: 5

As Scott Steiner says the numbers don’t lie

Don't care, i'm speaking in the UFC.

He seems to disagree with you (timestamped) :

But as a Fedor's fanboy, you're stuck in the past, so obviously you won't understand. Also, it doesn't matter if GSP is basically saying the same (with damage control though) : In terms of accomplishments, it is different. I have done stuff that I believe he didn't do yet... But as painful as it could be for any athlete to admit it, the athletes of today are normally better than the athletes of yesterday. And as good as the athletes of today are, the athletes of tomorrow will be better. That's how it is. I don't think the guys are better, I think the technology is better...

GsP was a stand out talent from the get go, Usman was stinking the joint and humping for half his ufc career

This is such a dumbass argument I swear.

And who did GSP have to fight in his third fight while he was still green? 36-4, Top 3 P4P ranked fighter Matt Hughes, and as a result GSP lost and didn't get the belt.

If Usman fought prime GSP for the belt at his 3rd UFC fight how would that go? Usman was still average level in his third fight (look at his boxing) because he still lacked experience in the sport.

He was lucky he was already at his best version after 9 fights instead of getting it too early and having a loss in his UFC record instead.
