I'm guessing it was some domestic dispute gone wrong. Whether or not he straight up murdered her, is where I'm giving some pause. He could've very well just left her to fend for herself in hasty moment and didn't realize the gravity of the situation, until she didn't turn up for days. He obviously left her out there. Whether or not he did the deed himself, or the elements got her, is still up in the air. Shit, whether or not they found her and not some other poor bastard that got lost out there, is still up in the air. There are lots of missing persons out in those types of areas. I'd imagine it's her and not just a pile of bones, though.

We'll see.

In regards to the OP, I think the couple being young and good-looking plays a major role in the story gaining traction when combined with the extraordinarily bizarre elements surrounding the case. This story is intriguing similar to the Lacey Peterson disappearance. The parents in this situation seem complicit, at least from outside observation. As bad as it looks, it remains possible the boyfriend didn't commit murder. It will be interesting to see how it ends.

While this is true, Peterson also had no answers for any of the circumstantial evidence they brought forth. That wasmabout the strongest case possible without direct evidence.

I'm starting to recognize a pattern with some of you here in the wR. Even if he did it, conviction based on "he went out on a boat and she was found in the water" is flimsy especially when you factor in how much the media and police talked about the lake before the body was even found.

Giving ample opportunity for anybody else that killed her to just drop her in that part of the lake and get off scott free.

Apparently she's a "travel influencer", so I'm guessing she posts videos on Tik Tok or Youtube, so has some kind of following.
The story so far reads like one of these Netflix Documentaries, it's just happening in real time.
There's a lengthy video of the police pulling her and her boyfriend over and talking with them, so we can get a glimpse of who they are and what they are like.
And the whole thing with the boyfriend is just bizarre. It would seem that the guy would've been arrested on the spot.
I don't get how a girl can go missing, you come back with her car---without her---and then can refuse to answer questions.

I don't know about that. He had and alibi for his location at the time the murder allegedly went down(including computer activity at his office, IIRC). They essentially convicted him on his fishing spot, a hair in is boat, an affair, and his odd behavior afterwards.

Not saying he's innocent, but there are plenty of unanswered questions with that case. I probably would've convicted him if I was on the jury, but I wouldn't have given him the death penalty.

Being a piece of shit is certainly different from being a murderer. Sure he was portrayed as being a sociopath. It made the story juicy. But in all actuality, he wasn't acting different from alot of guys put that may have been put in the same situation.

I'm sure this current story will play out the same way, he is already convicted. It just depends if he actually kills himself or not
