Even though Flash is still pretty weak, he should handle Arrow pretty easily. If Arrow ever lays hands on him it's over for the Flash.
This was probably the best episode of the show so far. Some great excitement, some more cool effects, and drugged Eddie.
Also, its taken awhile, but Latino Fitz is growing on me. (Awesome moniker btw).

Hands on him? Flash is a fucking metahuman. He could probably toss Arrow around without even using his speed.
I don't understand why they treated the guy like he was shot in the chest, when it was an arm injury.

Flash has gotten his ass beat every show now.
I admit im only on season 1 of arrow but he's a better fighter then Flash by far.
well at this point the show will nerf him, so the battle between him and Green Arrow will be more interesting. I like how they are handling his abilities because when Barry eventually becomes the master, the budget of the show can not handle his awesomeness.

The end part with Flash and Iris was lame with flash promising to always be there to save her.
Rest of the episode was great. Seems he's got ramped up powers now based on the blood sample. Need to see how fast he can go now. Basically he out ran lightning last night. I imagine that was slightly faster than the previous record of his speed of Mach 1.1
So, anybody with more comics knowledge than me: did the name of the computer give away anything about Wells' identity? I thought it was "Gideon" but when I searched last night I didn't see anything that really seemed to fit.
EDIT: just saw an interesting theory that Wells might be the New God Metron. If they really do go with something that far out there I'd be surprised, but it could be awesome.
To outrun lightning, he'd need to surpass ~1/3 of light speed, rounding down he was going at least Mach 294. A bit of a bump!
Yep. The show already nerfs Flash by being tagged by blows or blasts that he could have easily avoided when using super-speed. Based on the Arrow vs. Flash crossover trailer, Arrow gets the better of Flash by being sneaky (and Flash being sloppy) with using explosive arrows.
Thats because he is fighting other mutants instead of fucking Old Man Merlyn.
Arrow doesn't beat Mist, Girder, or plastique..... give all the prep time he needs....he STILL loses....I think Arrow could have beaten all those guys so far. He's good with weapons and has good prep time. I admit Flash is nerfed right now, still learning how to use his powers.
Isnt that always the theme with superpowered guys facing non powered guys...the powered guy always gets sloppy because of the physical advantages they have; as a result giving their opp chances to have success against them.
Its not just consistent with characters its consistent with real life...how many times have u seen a far superior fighter be defeated or pushed by a lesser opponent because that guy was prepared and the other wasn't..or a Guy showboating in a combat sport and getting beat or showboating in a football or basketball game and get beat. Deion Sanders got run down by a punter when he slowed up a little to show boat...mugsy vogues blocked Patrick Ewing...top college teams have been upset all based on will prep effort.
So when non powered heroes win or can stalemate guys its hardly outside of the stretch of reality...
As far as how he him losing to metastasis most of these guys have been professional killers or crazy or tough guys...Barry doesn't even know how to fight. Emotions or self doubt can impact his ability to react properly.
To be honest I think they have presented his powers and abilities fairly well..in context with him being a guy who was never a fighter..not a tactician or strategist and wants to help/not fight people.
Not to mention aguy who is vulnerable to everything regular people are...even with his power level he is very vulnerable..
My friend, you've unfortunately been conditioned by tv and movies that any injuries not at center mass ain't no thang, when in truth:
- getting shot in the shoulder would be an ortho doctor's nightmare (good luck ever getting full function of that arm again)
- getting shot or cut in the leg, and subsequently the femoral artery, would have you bleed out just as quickly as getting one of your carotid's severed
- removing bullets on the battlefield, after you've been shot, is a HORRIBLE idea as you'll likely do more damage sifting around trying to find it than you would have just leaving it alone, not to mention the infection risk of doing such an action
