What's percieved as obvious isn't always what's done....especially in Hollywood....I know the boyfriend is named Thawne but he hasnt broken up with Iris yet. Its it him from the future who does that? is the boyfriend that much of a hothead that he killed Barry's mom as well?
Thawne was born a couple hundred years in the future. The boyfriend is from the future.

you think he's the one that killed Barry's mom? He doesn't have speedster powers yet does he?

Seems pretty clear to me.
Det. Eddie Thawne is "Professor Zoom" or the "Reverse-Flash", and I would suspect Dr. Wells is Hunter Zolomon aka "Zoom".
Pretty much this. Although, it would appear that Thawne and Zolomon have had their origins mixed up, with Zolomon(Wells) being the Professor Zoom from the future, and Thawne just being Zoom, the present day speedster.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't both Thawne and Zolomon from the future?

Thawne to fuck with Barry Allen, while Zolomon to fuck with Wally West.

Of course the show may deviate completely from the comic so who knows.

Just Thawne.

Zolomon was crippled by Grodd and asked Wally West to time travel and stop it from happening. Wally refused so Zolomon attempted time travel himself, which displaced him from the timestream, allowing him to alter his own place in time, which gives him the effect of superspeed.

First Trailer for THE FLASH VS. ARROW Crossover Episode

2ilo3mb.jpg

The CW has released the first full trailer for the epic team-up between Arrow and The Flash focusing on the Scarlet Speedster's side of things as the two heroes come to blows for the first time. Barry (Grant Gustin) is thrilled when Oliver (guest star Stephen Amell), Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (guest star David Ramsey) come to Central City to investigate a case involving a deadly boomerang. Excited about teaming up with his friend, Barry asks Oliver if he

Anyone notice the only ones dying are metahumans..black out..multiplex ...girder ..all died.. captain cold beat the flash and escaped...the clock king was captured...

I guess its their way of controlling the budget...

The biggest theme I noticed with flash is they are going the common theme with super heroes... the flash is overly confident and cocky often giving his opponents many opportunities to overpower him or escape.

Captain cold pretty much out smarted the flash... everyone else has tried to take him head on and lost as a result.

Which episode was Captain Cold in? I must have missed that one....

The problem is even if this show picks up on it's writing and strays away from the theme of killing off a new enemy each week (come on just have at least some recurring characters...) and we start to love the characters DC is still fucking itself because Flash is going to be played by someone else in the very near future in the movies... This is without a doubt the dumbest possible decision. Why have us become invested in a character only to have it change for the films, then I assume back again for the show?

I don't have that much of a problem with it. Look at Marvel, different Bruce Banners and James Rhodes. It doesn't bother me, although I see the point of a TV series giving Barry a lot more screen time, then having a different actor for the movie.

As for Reverse Flash, I'm thinking there's going to be some sort of surprise and it won't be Wells nor Thawne. I'm going with Iris! Or, on a serious note, Barry from the future. How do we know the info from post #6 is accurate?

Oh, and finally an episode I liked. Keep it up. I still don't care for the stupid Flash/Iris stuff, though.

This was probably the best episode of the show so far. Some great excitement, some more cool effects, and drugged Eddie.

Also, its taken awhile, but Latino Fitz is growing on me. (Awesome moniker btw).

The end part with Flash and Iris was lame with flash promising to always be there to save her.

Rest of the episode was great. Seems he's got ramped up powers now based on the blood sample. Need to see how fast he can go now. Basically he out ran lightning last night. I imagine that was slightly faster than the previous record of his speed of Mach 1.1

SUPERGIRL Could Exist in the Same World as FLASH & ARROW

Flash-Supergirl-2-Dragonlord.jpg

The December 5, 2014 issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine - now hitting newsstands - features a profile on Greg Berlanti, the executive producer of many current hit shows including Arrow and The Flash. As has been mentioned before, one of Berlanti's new projects is a Supergirl TV project for CBS, which he is developing with Ali Adler and Sarah Schechter. There's a section talking about what's currently going on in production, and there's a very interesting nugget within:

"Later in the afternoon at his other office on the Warner Bros. lot, Berlanti meets with fellow producer Ali Adler and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood to go over looks for their upcoming revamp of Supergirl. The show will follow 24-year-old Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, and with a twist that that could melt fanboy brains, Berlanti says it's possible this Supergirl could enter the worlds of Arrow and The Flash."

CBS' SUPERGIRL Could Possibly Exist In The Same World As ARROW and THE FLASH

Does Detective West know that Dr. Wells & crew are locking up metahumans?

Anyway, I guess no due process for metahumans.

You can only be one or the other. Metahuman or American. Not both. The constitution does not apply to meta's.

So, anybody with more comics knowledge than me: did the name of the computer give away anything about Wells' identity? I thought it was "Gideon" but when I searched last night I didn't see anything that really seemed to fit.

EDIT: just saw an interesting theory that Wells might be the New God Metron. If they really do go with something that far out there I'd be surprised, but it could be awesome.

You know aall the people mentioned in by Harrison Wells as dying in the event are all characters who werelesser known superheroes in the DC universe...atom Smasher amazing man and fire were the ones I recognized.

The thing I like about the TV shows is they introduce lesser known heroes/villains into the mainstream ...whereas the movies would never take the time to focus on them.

^ I searched and found this list of easter eggs last night, including the names listed off by Wells:
Ralph Dibny - Elongated Man
Al Rothstein - Atom Smasher
Grant Emerson - Damage
Bea DeCosta - Fire
Will Everett - Amazing Man

Wells could form his very own Suicide Squad with the metahumans locked up in Star Labs.

Girder died? I thought he got locked up.
Yeah, was hoping Girder would have a recurring guest spot in the show especially seeing his last encounter with Barry.

Looking back, it now makes sense why they let Barry reveal his secret identity to the Girder since they're planning on killing him in the next episode.

Captain Cold appeared in episode 4.

Everything reported appears to be accurate so far. Plus all the evidence seems to point to him being Reverse Flash.

Hahahaha, thanks.

Barry should forget about Iris and just hook up with American Simmons (since Felicity is not available).

The end part with Flash and Iris was lame with flash promising to always be there to save her.
I agree.
