Indie The First Berseker: Khazan

Just got to him last night. I got him down to about 25% health in his second phase. I only
Have three heals. How do you get the fourth?

The boss health pools are a little ridiculous in this game.
I have no idea how I ended up with another heal lol.

That’s the netherworld energy. They’re very rare. I’m on the boss of stage 12 or something and I have 7. Pretty sure I haven’t missed one as I’ve been doing all the side stuff too after each main stage. They’re very obvious. They are white and shine very bright, far brighter than any other object in the game. Can’t miss them if you’re in the correct area. Just make sure you do side content because I think I got one or two that way

Since beating Maluca I’ve been on a tear. He was such a tough fight it forced me to get good. Felt like something clicked after that and being more aggressive has helped me take down the next few bosses relatively easy. Skalpel is a bastard though, spent an hour and a half and had to turn it off. Hopefully get him tomorrow night. Cool design and has some wicked moves. Outside of one or two bosses the vast majority have been amazing. Hoping to beat this before Expedition 33 comes out. Going to be wonderful playing an rpg and enjoying the story and easier gameplay after this lol

Alright, Viper down. It ended up turning into a really fun fight. Probably took about a dozen tries or so but once I got the timing down I could pretty much get out of his first phase untouched. Second was a little bullshit at times but mostly just because I had fraction of the attempts on it.

I’m really hoping I unlock a blacksmith soon, I have all these materials and nothing to do with them.

You have to save the blacksmith to unlock him. You’re not too far off.

Craftings not great in this game but there are loads of really good armour sets you’ll start unlocking. You can even mix and match them for different perks/builds, which may make the difference in some of the forth coming boss fights.

I literaly love the Skalpel fight, maybe my favourite fight so far. Took me just over an hour but as soon as I got him I went back and fought him again.

Beat Viper. Fun stuff. I'm warming up to this game. I still dont understand the "moonlight stance" stuff. Seems random.

Wow Hismar has a ton of health. I’ve definitely towards the end of the game. I didn’t spoil the ending for myself but I did look up how to get the true ending. Trying to get all 15 golden items. Have 11 so far just need a few more and I think they come after the stage I’m currently on. Trying to knock out as many trophies as possible on one run. Been playing on normal, using no summons, and going for true ending. Really been kicking my ass playing this way but it’s been worth it. Probably my game of the year so far but 2025 has a lot of bangers left.

No idea if it’s because I took like five days off but damn, the next area was kicking my ass. Probably playing too careless but I felt pretty good when I got to Volbaino and that pry took me longer than any fight had to that point. I kept getting trapped with nowhere to go when he lit the floor on fire because he had both floors going.

Tapped out after like an hour of attempts. Then I picked it up this afternoon and got him on my second attempt.

Opening up some side quests and getting some epic gear pieces.

The terrible experience with the new league of PoE 2 has driven me back to this game. Just beat Maluca

Got to Ozma. Oh boy I can already tell this guy is going to take many hours to beat. I’m still on normal and doing a no summon run. I got this far so I will see it to the end. Once I beat him I just got to clean up some extra trophies. Hopefully it doesn’t force me into new game plus right away. Trying to beat him before the 24th to get to expedition 33. I think I should be able to manage that. Got 5 nights to do so.

Got to the spider. Man, the bosses in this game are such a slog it's hard to get motivated to start another. I want to love this game but it's losing me.

Beat Rangkus yesterday, I loved that fight until the flame thrower came out. A few of those attacks felt pretty cheap. I was almost one shot by some of them and getting an instant fire tick pretty much always finished me off.

Aratra was a lot of fun as well once I figured out the limb and abdomen breaking. Basically stunlocked it once I was able to do that. The caves leading up to her absolutely sucked though. Just had to throw the Miyazaki special in there and include a poison swamp.

Had a few trophies pop. Looks like the bugged ones got fixed in the latest patch. Still working on Ozma. Getting closer and closer. The issue is running out of health restoration when getting to the last stage of him. Such a long fight especially because I’m going for the true ending which adds difficulty. Good news is when I do beat him all I have left is a couple jars and maybe like 7 soulstones to get the platinum. Oh and the trophy for just starting new game plus.

Treat him like a shielded enemy during the flamethrower stage and be aggressive with trying to get to his back. Once I adopted that strat I beat him within 20 minutes. Hug him and circle him, he’ll do his spin move attack and you can 1 hit him when low and he’ll stagger. That move drains all his stamina.

Yeah I got him, just went dodge crazy when I recognized some of his more bs attacks. Started investing more in my movement skills and it’s helping quite a bit.

Got a chance to play this and it was alright. Wasn't feeling the artstyle, level design left a lot to be desired, but the combat was good, although not enough to keep me engaged. I've played a bunch of Team Ninja games and I love that they're inspired by their combat systems, but it just didn't feel as deep or as fleshed out as something like Nioh, which they took a lot of inspiration from. It was good, but playing this game just made me want to play Nioh 2 since it's the same idea, but executed better (imo). The sound design was also really really annoying. Everything sounds so wet and doesn't really match the visual style; very grating so I just had to play on mute. Overall it's a good game, but it didn't really strike a chord with me

I’m sensing Maluca is a bit of a bitch.

Beat Ozma finally. A fantastic final boss, took me several hours but was worth it. Got 54/58 trophies. I'll probably just do the remaining on my PS Portal. Got to hunt down the final soulstones and jars. 9 out 10 game for me. Really enjoyed it from start to finish. Looking forward to seeing what this May DLC is about.

He's one of the hardest for sure. If you can beat him on normal you can beat the rest of the game on normal. He's the only one that seriously made me consider dropping difficulty. I'm glad I didn't though because I think the following bosses afterwards aren't as bad. There is a patch now that lets you switch between easy and normal freely. Not sure if it punishes you for getting the trophy.
