Most everyone on this board thinks that GSP could come out of retirement right now and beat Khabib. Make a poll if you doubt it. Let that sink in.

I feel like khabib would maul gsp right now. Maybe in georges' prime he would wall.and stall him somehow but right now i think khabib would ragdoll him.

Not claiming it didn’t happen. I’m talking the immediate run up to GSP, the fighter everyone is attempting to shit on. Bisping finished Rockhold and outstruck Andy in those 2 fights.

Well, you feel wrong. GSP is better in every aspect. Plus he would be stronger. He would simply outstrike he pretty badly.

Well we both have opinions on it doesnt mean either of us are wrong. Why do gsp fans get rabid over any discourse over his record. Dude khabib is an absolute beast still in his prjme, georges retired in 2013 after getting an absolute.thrashing by 70% hendricks. What makes you think almost a decade later hes up for this challenge?

Well, you are spewing shit because you are a hater. Please don't even try to say that is not true. I can simply go back and post things you have said right here on this board. Now what makes me think this? GSP has been in quite a few fights with quite a few good wrestlers and grapplers. Find me ONE gif where he was controlled. Because if Khabib can't hold him down he is gonna lose. Plain and simple. Maybe you can say Khabib is a better grappler. But GSP has definitely showed he can out grapple a lot bigger guys. And that would be a problem for Khabib.

Let me comment on this. I knew the ring side doctor for that fight. GSP had a serious eye injury from Shields eye poke and there’s a case to be made the fight could have been stopped. George had 3 rounds in the book so he went super conservative the final two rounds to not get hit anymore and still won them on 1 of the 3 judges scorecards. There was thinking he could be blind after shields eye poke. War GSP

Despite the recency bias, Koscheck was a beast of a wrestler. GSP’s takedown defense in that fight is one of the best examples ever of the art.

None of what you said is true. All I need to do is post this, alone, to totally disprove all of what you posted here.

This happened after the Serra fight.

I watched a lot of old GSP fights today & it really cemented for me that the narrative that he became a grappler after the Serra fight is COMPLETE nonsense. He fought the majority of his career in top position before & after Serra.

Also, the idea that GSP became boring immediately after Serra is also bullshit. Hughes III (armbar) Serra II (tko), Fitch (absolute beating), BJ Penn II (beating & corner stoppage). All those fights happened after the first Serra fight & they were all incredible performances.

Georges did not start to have some boring fights until around the Alves fight, which was many fights later. & He always favored the top position
 
Let's ask Koscheck about GSP's striking post-Serra. Maybe he has a thought about that
