The fight that defined GSP

The second Serra Fight was the beginning of the best streak in MMA's history lol
GSP was pitted against killers, and he dominated them all.
No need for a hail mary submission against a good wrestler, when you dispatch left and right D1, like they were fucking nobodies .

What killers are you referring to?

Dan .500 hardy?
Thiago .500 alves?
Matt .500 serra?
Josh one eye koscheck?

Which one of these titans was the killer you were referring to?

LOL the only one of those that have skills that comes close to the top male fighters is Valentina, who is much, much smaller than Nunes.

And you can't watch Nunes fight and say damn her striking is top notch. There must be 100 males that are more skilled in the ufc.

Would you think that the best basketball female be able to compete in the NBA? Nope not even close.

Penn fanbois were never the sharpest tool in the toolbox but you are on another level.
Nunes has really excellent distance control that most males in the ufc do not possess.

However i DEF am not going to say her run is better than gsp's. That is crazy talk. Level of opposition is way weaker.

Yeah... Let´s pretend No Rush had no broken nose in that fight...

What were their records when they fought? And GSP is the one who gave Koscheck “one eye”.
And why do you pull shit out of your ass? .500?
Even with loses after GSP, Hardy was .714, Alves was .605 and Serra was .611. Kinda like you saying Hughes was 40 when he was 34 for the last fight.

Hardy went 2-3
Alves went 6-9
Serra went 1-3

I stand corrected they arent even .500 fighters.

GSP’s competition consisted of one dimensional fighters and bloated LWs until Hendricks retired him

GSP thought he was a solid striker, he also thought Matt Serra was a big can and decided he will play around for a round, to test his striking skills. He didn't go for a single take down, he thought this fight is too easy and a good opportunity to test his striking skills, maybe get a nice KO highlight.

He never fought on his feet again. This was the last time he played the striker. In the rematch he would take Serra down in the first 2 seconds and repeatedly take him down when Serra stood up.
This was the fight that turned GSP into the ufc wrestling control freak and according to many the most boring ufc champ to this day with 0 finishes.

Yup, this one changed him. Look at it how ever you want, but he went on to dominate the division and win 33 consecutive rounds after this.
I'd argue this loss made him a smarter fighter.

You can't blame GSP for being that much ahead of the curve lol
If anything, the modern fighter exist because GSP prove to everyone that being a complete fighter can work, and it get you success.
Also GSP's win over Hendricks is much better looking than Jon "Decision" Jones's victory over Reyes.

GSP hurt them long term lol
Kos face is forever fucked after Josh tried to block GSP's jab with it, for 25 minutes

.
In terms of historical perspective, what you wrote here is complete BS.

GSP struck Koscheck into Oblivion, and Penn, and Fitch, and Bisping, and Hughes, and Serra 2, outstruck Condit, outstruck Diaz. OP is just a silly hater but it feels good to recount GSPs win streak so thanks.

The point is who cares about outstriking kos, youre supposed to outstrike him and he couldnt put him away.
Gsp certaintly did not win any standup battle against carlos as he got headkicked in the second round and instantly went into safety mode for 3 more rounds.
Gsp fans list the bisping fight as an accomplishment its actually embarassijng to keep.reading that. Bisping was 40 with one eye and one foot out the door already. Kelvin ko'd him in like 20 seconds, why coukdnt georges do the same? Nobody on this forum should ever flaunt that win.

Don't knock .500 fighters. You seem to worship one.

.
I dont necessarily disagree with you but its the gsp fanbase that maintain a zero tolerance policy for any dissention or suggestion that georges is not the greatest fighter ever. Is he one of the greats, i would tend to say yes hes probably top 10 which means yes he had an amazing career.

I have been presenting arguments against his level of competition and his inability to finjsh seemingly easy fights.

Fedor anderson and bones all finished top level fighters and former champs.

Gsp has not. I have argued that finishing the husk of matt hughes, 40 year old cyclops bisping and lw bj penn is not on the same level as finishing 2009.arlovski, 2008 tim sylvia, 2007 hendo, 2010 vitor, 2012 lyoto...im not even 100% sure on these dates but you get the point i hope.

I agree that some of the GSP fan base is extremely over the top -- they seem to think that GOAT is an objective criteria and that their definition is the only reasonable one. And because of that they discount the achievement of other great fighters. Of course there are fans of all the fighters who are guilty of that, but a few of GSP's fans currently seem to be the most vocal (well, actually McGregor's are, but not many take them seriously).

Who's fans are the most over the top seems to vary -- at one time it was Brock (his WWE fans following him over to MMA), then Rousey's (she was going to beat male UFC bantam weights), then Cyborg's (same wrt beating men). Anderson's fans always had more of a sense of humor (possibly because of Anderson himself), Fedor's fans seem to have some of Fedor's humility, and Jones' fans have been on the defensive because of his outside of the cage activities. Its interesting that GSP himself seems pretty humble as well -- bowing to Fedor as the greatest, and generally being respectful to every fighter (his attempt at trash talk with Hughes was really poorly done), so its a bit odd that some of his fans don't follow him in that.

Well....not really. His guy is " Bj Penn" not his alter ego, Huck Fenn - who's been doing everything in his power to vandalize his legacy.

Alot of people aren't aware of this phenomenon but a leakage did in fact come from an office of a Dr. that b.j sees for therapeutic fixes.

With one exception ( dont want to give bisping backers excuses they can sink their teeth into ) .The height of Mike's eye problem was just underneath 2019 where he got some extensive work done( well after fight with gsp)

However, Gsp had tunnel vision on ONE MIDDLEWEIGHT and one middleweight only. He went out and did what he knew he could do..... then immediately vacated- hmmmmm.

When you really think about it, MMA community not that stupid as Georges winning 185 title really not talked about that much ....and it shouldnt.

Gsp was already one of the goats well before the circus period of UFC s 185 division ( again not to panty twist gsp backers)
