As I've said previously, Kirk was a hateful man, so it's not surprising many people aren't bawling over his death.

If you want to argue he deserves the grace he didn't much provide to his targets because that's the high road or Christian thing to do, go for it. But it's rich that suddenly Kirk has become a saint beyond reproach or criticism in death.

And what are these legal to use weapons you want folks to use? You were an extremist before his death, so I'm not surprised that's your response.

It's not just about leadership. Leadership didn't murder Charlie Kirk an extremist did. And in the wake of his death we see all sorts of other people that we now know are also extremists celebrating his death and even calling for more violence. Using language to justify physical violence is insanity but that's where we are.

Because nobody was celebrating Paul Pelosi getting attacked, and it says quite a lot that these people are desperately scrambling for a whataboutism to pretend mass support for political assassinations is "both sides, bro", and the best they can come up with is people saying it didn't make any goddamn sense that Paul Pelosi, who isn't a political target for anybody, called the police completely calm and referred to the person in his house as a "friend", then answered the door with both of them in their underwear with a drink in his hand. There was 0 support for the attack, it was people who just didn't think the story made any sense.

We found out weeks later that they didn't release any body cam or security footage because even the police who arrived thought he seemed more like an invited guest than an intruder, and just stood there with no urgency asking them questions, and Paul Pelosi is still alive and was at a public event days later.

I'll ask the same I asked in the other thread and none of them answered; if it is just that Charlie of all people is somehow beyond the pale, then surely they would be able to rattle off a list of conservative public figures whose death would not be met with mass celebration from the online left, and none of them can name any, because they do just want everybody whose opinions they don't like dead.

Hate speech is free speech but it's different when you believe speech is violence and can justify physical violence because of it.
