The US will never solve it's division because there's too much money to be made promoting it. Grifters have monetised blaming all your problems on "the others", while they rob you blind. To me it seems your coutnry is so busy fighting with each other over the latest hot topic, that you don't realise it's the people at the top who are fucking you over. Your tv, news, social media, politicians and religious types keep you in constant fear of anyone who isn't like you, while they make millions and billions off it.

yeah there was a good example in the UK the other day when Musk appears virtually at some rally and tells the people of the UK that “violence is coming” and that “you either fight back or you die”.

Now would a tech billionaire with a massive social media platform be doing this out of the good of his heart? or is it possible that in a climate where 'civil war' is being mooted all the time, more people will spend more time doom-scrolling or rage-scrolling twitter, thus driving his advertising revenue?
 
Abolish all guns in all public spaces. Abolish massive expenditures on campaign funding. Strengthen corruption and antitrust laws. Tax the wealthy, proportionately at minimum. Keep all social, health, and energy services public. Ignore all the big and small voices that engage in division, culture warring, and hysteria. Let environment, public health, and universal prosperity guide policy.

Raise your children, all of your children. Be invested in them completely, and in their education especially. Get to know their friends and their parents.

Sacrifice for them so that they can be and do better in this world.

I want the opposite of the ministry of truth. Part of America’s problem is its post truth climate. A verifiable fact should have more integrity than someone’s “truth”. Lying and denying has become so acceptable and common practice in America.

If something is verifiably incorrect, and someone is continuously disseminating falsities and lies, It would be great if the public had a reliable tool to flag lies and liars and to turn off the drip at the source. Think peer review with the assistance of AI for efficacy. The same way scientists publish research papers but on the largest scale.

Same applies to companies that shut down their American factories to ship jobs overseas or have done so in the past to cut costs. Nationalistic minded business with incentive to remain so due to #2.

6) Lobbying groups will be immediately disbanded and anyone connected with them probably killed or sentenced to hard labor :)

I can list a lot of good laws that would see a return to honor and a nationalistic mindset which is key for a nation, but out of them all, the financial control is a necessity.

So you get rid of the incentive for predatory capitalism with the most corruptible scumbags being the most successful in any industry and lean it back to a healthy version that requires the cooperation of high-value individuals with common customs, beliefs, and ideals who value each other 1st instead of profit.

Reponses to your ideas.

1.) If they won't get rid of interest at least cap interest at say 5% to 10% at the most. Also, make all pay day loans and those types illegal.

3.) I love the idea of bringing back pensions.

5.) I would do something different at first. What you have is good but I would start at no more stupid job boards. All jobs and companies needing employees have to go through the State Department of Labor. You apply for jobs there and employers post positions there. Before we get to your point above I think it is important to get rid of these ghost jobs and start going after those employers who are not actually hiring or paying fairly. Also, to clamp down on potential employees who ghost in interviews.

I would add to your list I would end all non-profit tax benefits. I know that gets people up in arms but there are too many people abusing the "non-profit" section for tax reasons. All these "non-profit" entities and society is still struggling. As an example religious churches should be no longer tax exempt.

AI is only as good as the people who build & program it. One could easily program & train an AI to be just as biased as human extremists so unless it's an open source project where people can check the code & datasets for themselves there's no way to know how full of shit it is.

I think you misunderstood. I’m talking about facts being the ultimate arbiter. If people are lying about current events or revisioning history, that is not helpful or useful to any of us. If information is a running fresh water river, I’m talking about looking for ways to stop sewage from spilling into that river.

The UK is falling for their own tactic of divide and conquer, that began with Brexit. Blaming all their problems on a volutary union that they benifited from and then singing Rule Britania while waving flags and looking through rose tinted glasses for a past that never existed.

"We ruled the world !" No you didn't, those at the top did (and still do), you were just cannon fodder used to extract wealth from around the world. The Empire was no more about bringing democracy to the world, than any other conquers before it. Once it collapsed, the UK followed and the average person was still left scraing the barrel.

It's the same all over the world, people being contantly misinformed while also being told that they're special. Then when it goes arse over end it's either "Gods plan" or someone elses fault. No solutions, just blame or scapgoating.
