The problem with Cortez is not her looks other personality, it is her dangerous policy recommendations like the GND, which would be an economic catastrophe. Here's a person in a position of power and influence who wants to do harm to me and mine.

No doubt once people begin to criticize folks in power, their looks become fair game, much like the Fat, Orange Tyrant or Obama's mom jeans. But to mistake that for thinking people's problems with Trump are caused by his awful hair is an obvious mistake. In AOC's case, it seems like a concerted effort to make it seem as if the core criticism of her are based on the trivial problems people find with her rather than vice versa. This unserious take from the NYT would be one example, trying to create a narrative that many conservatives were bothered by the video of her dancing was another.
