Media The Crippler Makes UFC Judging Debut This Weekend

I hope we see more ex Pro MMA fighters become judges in the future.

As long as a judge can separate his relationships with people he may still even train with. It’s a good thing.

The last thing I EVER want to see is DC being a judge..PERIOD.

A fighter could be outstruck by 40 - 10 every round. With 40 significant strikes. To 10 jabs of zero consequence. But if the fighter with 10 strikes got a TD with zero control time. You know who will win that fight on that fucking clown’s card, right?

Judge fair Leben. And I’ll give you props for being fair.

As a TUF 1 viewer, it's funny to see Chris Leben described as a competent person. Whether this says more about Leben as a man or MMA judging as an enterprise, I don't know, but good for Leben and I hope that this is the start of positive changes in judging.

Official Leben FTW.

I never saw Leben ref. But I think/thought Frank Trigg was/is a good ref.

That dude is an inspiration. When he was on TUF, I didn't think the kid on that show was even long for this world, much less would be a fighter who is remembered for a nice and exciting career (and KOing Wand, wtf) and then, ultimately, end up reffing and judging fights. I admire that he battled through the storm and has ended up where he has, and I'm glad he has, bc I trust him to do the job.

The first thing he needs to do is talk to Cecil Peoples about leg kicks.

Tito is next
Maybe Chuck

Get a whole crew of JustBleed Refs and Judges

He’s back

Its a sad state of affairs when we all assume that a bunch of people with rampant CTE will be better judges than the usual idiots who get that job.

Spotted Chris Leben judging at Bellator 290! It’s really great to see him still involved in the MMA scene and UFC after his fight career. Wonderful that he’s found a way to contribute to the sport he loves.

It will probably make it worse. The same reason why fighters are terrible at betting on fights. It’s a small community and everyone knows everyone so it’s very tough for most people to be 100% objective.

It will be a little like high school. Did you ever miss a fight after school and ask the friends of one guy how the fight went and then listen to the friends of the other guy talking about the fight and it sounds like they watched two completely different fights.
