The Casting couch?

I went to school with a few people who have made a go at an acting career, and none of them have mentioned any casting couch stories to me. They've all been successful enough at it to make a comfortable living at it with small roles in film and TV. From what I've heard from them, the proverbial casting couch was probably much more of a problem 20 or 30 years ago; nowadays the majority of casting agents are female. There's also half a dozen people sitting around to watch your audition nowadays as well, rather than just one person. Also, it's supposedly becoming more and more common that everything in the audition room is recorded now, in an effort to cut down on any liability / harassment / assault / he said she said type things.

This. My GF is a working actress and all the CDs are women or gay men. You're almost never alone in the room and it's filmed. Not saying girls don't cozy up to producers trying to get a break but if they don't have the chops, they're not going anywhere. Hollywood is more about nepotism than anything else. If you have powerful or famous family members, you will get breaks before more talented, more attractive people.

Well seagal wasn't an ugly looking guy 50 years ago so it wasn't terrible if a girl had to do something.

Also i would imagine a lot of girls would do the initiating to get the part and then come up with the accusations later on for a quick buck. Not as a masterplan or anything but if they hear that some other woman is filing a lawsuit then they come out of the woodwork.

Notice how in many instances when one accuser comes out, scores of others will follow?

Lauren Hill made some of the same assertions likening the music industry to Babylon, while Chappelle said similar things but looked a little frightened to say what he really wanted imo. they have both been seemingly blackballed from movies and music. after having such great success it makes you think. wtf is going on in Hollywood.

Dad worked 30+ years for a motion picture company, both brothers work in the entertainment world now, I was involved in the stunt part of it, and yes it absolutely exists.

These days most aspiring actresses seek out people they can fuck to get ahead. Hell even in stunts is now all about how well you can suck up to or suck off the stunt coordinators, not the skills you have.

If you care about your daughters, do not let them try to be an actress.

that's what doesn't make since to me if I'm a 50 something rich movie guy and can literally date European models. why would one want some 15 year old maybe Chappelle was right Hollywood is sick. I've personally seen twenty something's in santa monica that I would've committed Yubitsume to tap.

did you do any action films we might've seen? but I must say I always assumed that the stunt world was like 99% male for obv reasons. are the chicks all butch or are some smashable? I only want to know in regards to the thread topic
