Bill Cosby recently was accused of rape by a former mentoree. It sounds like this was a classic example of the Hollywood myth/legend of the "casting couch". Basically the rumor is young starlets male and female, have to put out to receive parts in films.
Cory Feldman did an interview years back describing his sexual abuse by many Hollywood execs. He stated that the late Cory Haim's depression, drug abuse, and eventual suicide were do to their sexual abuse, and that the "casting couch" is real. So what's your thoughts? Have any of you experienced this while trying to make it in the movie, and music biz?
Do you believe in the whole put out, or get out "deal with the devil" myths that surround the movie and music industry? 60 Minutes did an interview years back with Bob Dylan. During the interview with Ed Bradley, Dylan stated that he had to keep singing, and could not retire because of the deal he made with "destiny". When further prodded, Dylan told Ed that the "Chief Commander of this world, and one you can't see" helped him attain success in the music biz".
It could have been Bob joking, but if you look at the interview bob was either being serious, or he has one hell of a poker face.
