Really? I like grappling, but Belal didn't make a single attempt to finish the entire fight. They both wobbled each other and then didn't even try and go for a finish. Belal's biggest moment was an illegal takedown and the second he got reversed he just held on for dear life in 2 rounds.
Leon also with his 3rd round back control did nothing. They both put on a stinker of a fight.

I have no issues with grappling when somebody is actually trying to finish, but belal made no attempt his entire control time. he placed his arm across the face to pretend he was going for a choke and hit Leon so hard his head didn't even move.

Don't get me wrong Belal won that fight, but people paid for that main event. Both fighters shit the bed, but Belal made no attempt at any point to have that fight result in anything but a decision when he had a dominant position.

Raging? I am just bored and have nothing else to talk about from the fight. I was so bored I went and watched Mokaev vs Kape.
Leon vs belal 2 was worse than that fight.
 
I réalise i didn’t actually pick a guy to win in my head, but I kept convincing myself that belal would win, cause the 1st fight leon was trying to finish the 14th ranked guy, belal has improved, he’s durable and pressures well, leon doesn’t have 5 round cardio etcetera


So basically I’m taking full credit for this pick
 
It's crazy because Leon and UFC didn't want to make this fight. If we never saw the rematch the prevailing thought would have been Leon was beating his ass and Belal isn't on his level. Well now we know....
 
I expected Belal to come with a grappling heavy gameplan so I'm not shocked by the win. I do think though Belal might have had more of a striking based gameplan in the first fight.

I'm chalking this more up to Belal learning from the 1st fight and coming a lot better prepared for this one. Also, Usman and Colby both kind of exposed Leon's grappling weaknesses and that happened after the first Leon Belal fight.
 
Leon is pretty mediocre but Belal hanging around with Khabib, shredded as fuck, looking faster and stronger than ever before dumping dudes on their head. Watch him get popped soon.

USADA is gone. They were no longer UFC's friend after 2023. Has a fighter even popped this year?
 
the funny thing is that Belal has every reason not to grant Leon a rematch because of the bs Leon put him through.

not only that, but Leon might have been a paper champion since his path to the title rested on UFC's unfair treatment of Belal.

This thread was more exciting than everything except the last 1 min of that fight. The UFC just cut Mokaev for a similar boring performance. Belal enroute to get cut like Askren with the belt.

Was at the edge of my seat the entire time. Can agree that his previous performances can be boring, but this one was amazing. Kept fearlessly marching down a surgical striker and ragdolling him around all 5 rounds.

There is nothing sus about a man at 36 being bigger and stronger than he was throughout his physical prime years, while he also worked his ass off......

Before you bitch, I don't care about Leon nor Belal, nor did i make assumptions based on the first fight, but I have eyes and know that was a boring fight.

No it was a snoozer. All the fight was Belal doing just enough pitter patter to back Leon up against the cage and then go for the crotch sniff. At no point was Belal trying to finish with GnP or a sub. Only till the last 30 seconds did someone try to finish the fight with some GnP.
