GSP has the more explosive double leg. Jones is way better in the clinch. Overall I think Jones is better. It's marginal.

Jones uses his height as leverage a lot in the clinch, and we'll it's very effective against guys like DC, Chael, and Rashad, who are shorter, its extremely ineffective against taller fighters like Santos, Gus, Smith.

GSP never faced an opponent he couldn't take down, Jones can't say the same.

Its clear GSP is stronger with TDs and Jon with the clinch.

I think GSP's wrestling is a little more effective in MMA because he can literally put people on their backs and keep them there at will. Jones is very good at it too but not as effective.

So i'd give the edge to GSP out of those two, but i think khabib is at the same level and maybe even higher.

Overall it's close, but i'd give the edge to St-Pierre.

Verdict: St-Pierre has proven to be a better wrestler than literally everyone he has stepped in the cage against.

If you think Jones is the better wrestler that's one thing, but don't act like St-Pierre has been the inferior wrestler in comparison to any of his opponents, because that is clearly not the case.

GSP for its consistency.

Jones' has gone to shit in years as he's transitioned into a kickboxer. Everybody says he keeps it in his back pocket, but he still fails/struggles far more often on TDs than he used to. And it's not like it's happening against Div 1 wrestlers or anything.

Jones is a predominant stand up fighter and a better fighter than GSP. However, GSP had probably the best cage /mma wrestling in game. Jones prefers to stand .According to opponent, GSP gameplan got to point where td was first option.

Hendricks didn’t outwrestle GSP.
The majority of his top control was the result of a GSP trip in the 4th round. GSP had more takedowns in that fight.
The Hughes fight was his 8th career fight. GSP destroyed him in both rematches.

He took down Gus in both fights and only struggled with obvious shots in the first fight since he didn't set up his takedowns. Not an issue in their second fight.

He took down Smith plenty, don't remember any grappling in the Santos fight though.

taking down an accomplished wrestler like cormier gives jones the edge.

GSP's one of the best shootfighters, like Danaher describes him. Also has a better double, the technique isn't comparable. Jones isn't a shootfighter, he does one or the other, doesn't set one up with the other. But he's insanely strong in the clinch, which makes him more effective.
