Agreed 100%, incredible writing to be able to accomplish that. Forks is absolutely amazing.
 
We watched the first two episodes last night and while it’s a good show, we were having trouble with all of the fast cuts. I know they are going for the frantic pace of a kitchen, but it made it less enjoyable to watch. I’ll probably revisit it at some point

It slows down quite a bit after the first couple episodes.
 
Very good show, I saw season 2 had ratings that indicated it was possibly an all timer. I actually enjoyed season 1 more, season 2 had too much relationship stuff. I really liked the Ritchie and Marcus centered S2 episodes though, the turn around for Ritchie was great.

Bears are great and so unpredictable. You can come within a few meters of a 600 pound grizzly and have it stroll on by. On the flipside, if one is hungry, agitated or has cubs close, it can be eating you alive while youre wondering why you decided to hike an area with bears.

Endless possibilities with a show. Lol
 
Just wrapped up season 2 and damn... hard to not call this a masterpiece.
 
I loved it. Unfortunately will have to wait at least until the end of 2024 for the new season, due to the writers strike...

Or so I read....

I'm looking forward to it, but I do hope they (the writers) have an end goal in mind. It's a great show, but it'd suck ass if they stretched it out for 10 seasons or whatever just to get more clicks.
 
I really like Jeremy Allen White as an actor, and I only know Ayo Edebiri from the show but she is great too. Honestly I only watch the show for their characters anymore. I know that it's complicated because story wise it's about a family/restaurant, but its such a "slow burn", and can't go on forever. ...sidenote about shows I wish Atlanta was still going.
 
In my opinion this is the best show right now. It might be recency bias but to me Forks is one of the best singular episodes I have ever watched of any show.

For me it was Fishes. Best episode of television I've ever seen in my life.
 
I love all of the Chicago specific references in this show. Most of which go completely over my wife's head.

I’ve seen her in a couple other shows. She’s a main character on Outer Banks on Netflix and she also has a recurring guest role on Abbot Elementary as the sister of the main character. She’s great on The Bear and kills that role.

havent seen the show, but I feel you on the recurring kitchen terrors. Sometimes I'll have thematically unrelated stressful dreams, but with the squirrel printer tzzk-ttzz-tzzz'ng constantly in the background like the Psycho themesong.
 
I binge watched season 1 and it was pretty decent, I liked the ride they took us on overall but I definitely wasnt enamored with it, too many unlikable characters for my tastes
The cute black chick was what kept me hooked but by the end I hated that bitch too
I enjoyed season 1 enough to understand why people love it but I had no desire to revisit those assholes ever again and never even started season 2

My recommendation is to give S2 a try. The personalities of the characters are important to their arcs. S2 has one of the best character arcs and peaks I've ever seen.


As far as the show goes, I'm looking forward to S3. But kinda wondering where it goes from here. It's been 2 seasons of underdogs clawing their way to opening the restaurant. I dunno if they can give us a story as good as what they've had. Still, I'm gonna binge watch the fuck out of it.
 
If you guys like this show you should watch boiling point.

There's a movie and a series. Both are really good. Possibly better than the bear
