All I will say is they already have a Joker for this universe.

Right.. but I was under the impression that they were scrapping Leto’s version and using Phoenix’s version. Guess that’s not happening.. but I spose there’s no way to know just yet

Who would've thought two years ago that DC would make more anticipated movies than MCU?

The Hawkeye show looks good, but Woketernals? I haven't even seen Shang Chi yet.

DC has a very, very long way to go. Batman is like their saving grace...always. Shang Chi was actually surprisingly good for a virtually unknown hero.

Meh people are bothered by a different batman in the last 20 years but just fan boyed out over a spidy man movie with the three of the last 20 too.

Im down for any and all but im a batman fan boy with a dog named after a batman character.

Just like James bond or even spidy man. I just see it like the comics...at any one time there is like 5 different batman series. It's just like that.

In movie form!

They should have just paid bale like a billion dollars to keep playing batman like in the batfleck films and this one

Bale will probably be the true batman in most people's minds for another ten years
Keaton for me

Shang Chi was barely good for me.

Hawkeye was a huge disappointment btw.

You should see how Keaton looked.

Ya, i was never a fan of keatons bruce wayne. His batman was good but everytime i seen him as wayne i was like...wtf. i thought Bale played the best Bruce Wayne by far. He actually got in shape for it and pulled off the playboy billionaire role to a T. Keaton looked like the dad next door and just didnt convince me that he could kick anyones ass, even as a kid.

I feel as though if youre gonna play one of these comic book characters, at least try to do what you can to somewhat ressemble them. Christopher Reeve did this amazingly with Kent/Superman before that Batman movie.

I was really hopeful of Phoneix's return, but yeah, that's just not happening now. Would have been cool because the Gotham City in the Batman and the Joker film look very similar; aesthetically.

Barry the irishman hopefully.

<{yearp}>

Is it me, or is he one scrawny looking batman? Did he even try to shred?

Nah, Pattinson is in legit shape.

Yes Keaton enduring as one of the most loved Batman's has made them know fans can get over Batman not being big and muscular.

Funny who we differ though. I thought Bale was the best Batman but the worst Bruce Wayne. Bale to me seemed so uncomfortable and so awkward playing the Tony Stark type Billionaire playboy. Always seemed like someone pretending to like all that stuff while not.

I thought he played it off pretty much like he is in the comics. The Keaton Batman was fun but it was also very quirky at times. Burton was probably trying to blend a couple different versions of Batman together.

Nolan was definitely playing off of the darker more Frank Miller inspired Batman.

Come on. Thats mostly lighting and angles. Its like he ended his routine halfway in lol. Does that look like a dude that can hurl someone halfway across the room? I think bale in begins and afflek of all people had the best physiques to play batman. Hes a human hero after all. It has to at least look like he could convingly beat the crap out of a boatload of people.

Look how chris evans looked in captain america. He looked perfectly the part. Pattison looks more like Nighwing or Robin than Batman

Bale and Affleck had the best physiques by far, no arguments there. Pattinson is much bigger than Keaton tho, smoke and mirrors or not. But I will admit, I'm still not 100% sold on Pattinson without the cowl. Especially since Reeve's is going for a reclusive Kurt Cobain/rockstar in a decaying manor type approach for his Wayne.

Its crazy to think that Afflek most reseembled Batman physique wise, followed by Batman Begins Bale.

I just think that if youre gonna play a superhero, at least try to look somewhat like that hero. Chris Evans, Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth, Ben Afflek, Christain Bale, Christopher Reeve, Henry Cavill, Jason Mamoa, Ryan Renolds...all did wonderful jobs in at least looking the part physique wise.

Hell, when i was a kid i was even convinced by lou ferrignos Hulk.

Agreed.

But my issue is I felt Bale just felt uncomfortable in that role of playing the philandering playboy and it came across as forced. At least to me. His Bruce Wayne parts of the movie were almost a turn off for me.

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't give a shit about this film. To me, Nolan made the definitive Batman films. Christian Bale was the quintessential Batman. Everything after is unconvincing to me.
I agree, mostly. I'll give this a chance, because I've always wanted to see a live action Riddler. (Ahem, a true live action Riddler). But yeah, certain things have already got me rolling my eyes.
