Movies THE BATMAN (New Trailer)

See I was absolutely not a fan of that. Batman's armor isn't an Iron Man suit. He shouldn't be taking a hail of full auto rifle fire. It kind of defeats the purpose of him attacking from the shadows, using speed, misdirection, etc if he can just walk through 3 dude firing on full auto at point blank.

I'm still super on the fence with this one.
What if he specifically prepared himself for that part, wearing a steel plate just to pass that point? That would be more acceptable

Also iirc this is Bruce doing first experiments, maybe we see him slow and armored at first, then he switch later to a more risky lighter suit to favour stealth and speed

It's same excuse i'm hoping for the shit batmobile

Yeah, still a hard freakin' pass.

That neither Batman nor Bruce Wayne. Whoever greenlit this casting choice should get stabbed with rusty nails, let to rot and die, brought back to life in the Lazarus Pit, then made to step on Legos for all eternity.

stop pretending like you won’t be at the theater day fucking one to see this movie.

Robert Pattinson just doesn't have the right attributes to play Batman. He could've been a great Red Hood or Nightwing.
He's like second best looking Batman after Bale on Begins(best version of the costume, ruined in sequels), and slighty above Affleck

Batman had Clooney, Kilmer and Keaton lmao, now these were bad (and i loved Burton's movies)

Nope.

Probably watch it when it comes on Netflix. No interest in this whatsoever. I'd rather watch Batman forever than this. At least that way I get a laugh out of it.

That's why I have mixed feelings about this movie it looks good but I don't think he's right for the part.

True, but he's just too dainty imo. Batman Beyond, Red Hood, and Nightwing would've been great roles for him. It could've actually been pretty badass because those characters have a lot less presence and they're a little more pretty-boyish, but still great characters overall. Now we have to hear him attempt to sound more masculine than he really is, like Bale did lol.

Hopefully this isnt bad but I fully expect the Bale movies to be better.

@Dragonlordxxxxx
Turns out Matt Reeves has a version of this on his vimeo that's available up to 4k and isn't compressed to within an inch of its life [LINK]. The youtube version sucks.

Having watched it again, I'm not a big fan of the fight scenes. Looks too clumsy and stiff, much like the Nolan films.

Bat-Fleck is the GOAT onscreen fighter.

Sounds like a third and final trailer is about to drop soon. Until then, here are some stills from the newest edition of Empire magazine:

I haven't seen a movie in theaters since December 2019. This will probably be my first since that time. I cannot wait!

This shit looks weird to me.
The set pieces and costume designs look really cheap.
As if the budget was much lower than normal for a Batman film.

I'll wait until everyone on Sherdog watches it to confirm if my observations are true.
There is something off about Batman's appearance and mannerisms.

Budget is reported to only be $100m. Batman Begins was $150m more than 15 years ago. Going back to Burton's 1989 Batman, that would have a higher budget as well adjusting for inflation depending on what figures you use. Birds of Prey and Shazam! were also $100m recent DC films and you could tell they were on the lower side budget wise (although I felt Shazam! was a fun film).

Perhaps most of the budget went to the makeup for Colin Ferell as Ozwald. His makeup is hella impressive.

Haven't changed my opinion. The movie's feel and look are ok, very similar to Nolan's Batman and that ain't bad. However, Patt still looks like a weak emo, and the suit is very amateurish with that stupid collar and don't get me started on that cheap army boots.

How many villains are in this? Was that riddler, catwoman, poison ivy, and penguin.

Are they giving too much away in that trailer?

From the few spoilers I have read, yes, yes they did.

But to be fair, a lot of the plot and the Riddler's motive could be surmised from the very first trailer. From what I understand tho, there is still a lot that they haven't revealed yet.
