SPOILERS (?)
Couldn't agree more with this. just saw it hours ago and i felt it was very good for the most part but those last 30 mins didn't sit very well with me. the whole flood thing felt a bit rushed in comparisson to the other arcs and the ending wasn't the most compatible with the movie's tone to that moment IMHO. went with 3 buddies and one fell asleep for a minute and the other two grabbed their phone a couple times. personally i didn't but did feel the pacing dragged a bit. loved the second third of the film the most, the chemestry between zoe and rob, collin farrel, the car chase and the scene in the GCPD cell after those 3 riddles in the church. falcone's talk with bruce was very good as well. all in all it was a nicely done film, i think reeves nailed gotham's aesthetic, the music was great (even tho i don't fully understand reeves' obsession with nirvana) and the performances too. Didn't like joker's appearence at the end, i dunno. felt unneccessary and the fact we didn't even watch his appearance left me unsatisfied. I want to watch it again to make my mind up about certain things, A LOT happens in those 170 plus mins. it's up there with the nolan trilogy quality wise but this one's much more broody. i think i like begins just a tad bit more, but it's close.

yea i caught that in the riddler's livestream. you could read the comments about the jacket being surplus.

With the Riddler's choice ot mask and jacket, and the fact he's carrying a sniper rifle in the trailer. I did wonder if he was a Veteran.

I wanted to see it til I found out it was 3 hours long
Thats madness

Went by surprisingly fast, honestly didnt even realize it was 3 hours. Still prefer batman begins and dark knight tho.

Does it have Will Smith as Deadshot? Nope, I'll pass until they add it to the TBS DC marathon once a week

I enjoyed it, I thought it went on a little too long, particularly at the end. Pattinson was really good as “Batman” probably the best Batman to date. That said he was just whatever as Bruce Wayne. I think Bale was much better in that sense. Ferrel was really good, riddler was an interesting villain.

Minor plot hole for me, but as smart as Riddler was, you’d think that he’d at least wait until his entire plan plays out before letting himself end up in Arkham.

also the joker looked lame lol.

Seeing it tomorrow and got another buddy of mine to go Saturday night too! For better or worse, it sounds like the movie definitely doesn't play it safe, which I'm glad. Should be some good discussions about it in a week or so, once everyone has seen it.

Until then.....see y'all on the other side.

Gave it a 9/10 - wish I could have enjoyed the first hour or so more but my brain/nervous system decided that a major anxiety attack was in order since it's been a little over a week since I had one.

When DC gets it right they are so much better than anything marvel puts out.

9/10 just saw it. Very good and different take on Batman. This movie explores his detective and crime solving abilities which all of the past Batman movies lacked. He’s always been known as the World’s Greatest Detective but this side of him rarely makes it to the movies. The animated series focused a lot on Batman solving crimes, but never the movies. It’s very noir and grim at times. This movie had the best depiction of Gotham City. The city plays a big part of the plot and this movie makes you realize how massive Gotham is and also shows the sleezy parts of Gotham. You get a very similar feel with Se7en the movie. This movie has a lot in common with Se7en. The Riddler’s overall motivation and how he is captured are the weakest parts of the movie. After this and Tenet, I’m a huge Robert Pattinson fan. He’s a fantastic actor. Good movie.

Got my ticket to watch it on IMAX tomorrow at 11am.

No idea early movies have such deep discounts. $10.70 as opposed to $16.

I'll give it 6/10.

It's entertaining but nothing special.

Riddler was supposed to be crazy but reminded me of the Red Letter Media Star Wars reviewer. It became laughable more than scary.

Story was similar to Seven but with a comic book twist, wasn't impressed.

Batman was pretty much unkillable: bomb, shotguns, hand guns. All because of his armor.

Gordon was overexplaining for the audience.

Batman's suit is probably the best.

Score was good.

I have 0 problems with good movies running long. Theaters should re-instate an intermission in movies of such length, though, but those money-grubbing basterds are more concerned with squeezing in one more over-priced showing a day than quality customer service and convenience so I'll just wait 2 months for HBOMax, thanks.

EDIT: Wait, wtf am I bitching for? I have no kidneys, and thus no longer pee. Fuck it, no intermissions. Sorry, I'm still adjusting post-surgery, lol

I have NO problem with 2hr45min long movies.

What I DO have a problem with is there being 25 fucking minutes of preview trailers BEFORE the 2hr45min long movies.

Ok, its finally starting. Turning off my phone.

is the Irish actor Barry keoghan featured in it with a link to him possibly being the Joker

This guy came out of no where. I had no idea who he was until the Green Knight but then he showed up in Eternals and The Batman.
