JoJo is too good I've been there bro.
I know it gets some hate but Stardust crusaders has a special place in my heart.

Stardust Crusaders is good, but it's still towards the bottom for me. Jotaro is kind of boring as a protagonist imo (though, oddly enough, I really liked him as a side character in parts 4 and 6).

I really hate the ending of part 6.

Blasphemy.

Jk, but I thought the ending was a good send off to the first 6 parts.

I've not read the subsequent parts and can't wait till they get adopted.

You should definitely read them. I can't speak for part 9 since I haven't started it yet (I've been hearing good things though), but 7 and 8 are fantastic. Part 7 is a pretty close second to part 4 for me, and I think I'm actually pretty solidly in the minority on that one (part 7 seems to be the closest thing to a concensus favorite among Jojo fans).

I would rank Dan Da Dan 2nd on that list after Frieren.

Wife: "She's done it 3 times this week".

Me: *Shrugs* "Heavy flow, you know how that is".


Wife: "Uuugg my grandma is pissed because we didn't invite her to the birthday party. She never leaves the house since Covid though so I didn't bother".

Me: "She's probably on her period."

Wife: "She's like 80 she doesn't have a period anymore"

Me: *shrugs* "With todays medicine anything is possible, you don't know.".

I started the new Rourin Kenshin. Never saw this anime when it originally came out. I did watch the OVAs (Samurai X) with some friends once. Just randomly bought it and we all thought it was amazing.

When I first started it I bounced after like 4 episodes cause I just wasn't into it. Started it up again and I guess I just stopped at the wrong time cause it immediately started getting good after that. Not sure how faithful to the original it is but I'm enjoying it so far.

Lmao! I use women's period as material too. It's more fun if the kids are in on it. My son in a serious tone would add: " It's true. "
It will then be a contest of trying to hold in our laughter while trying to look bored. Wife gets upset, daughter will try to explain that we were trolling her.

I'm in the middle of a Jojo rewatch that I absolutely did not intend.

I only meant to rewatch part 4 (the best part and if you disagree you're just wrong and should feel bad), but then I had to rewatch part 2, then 3, now I'm in the middle of part 5, and I'm sure that after I'm done I'll rewatch parts 1 and six, then reread 7 and 8 and start on part 9.

In short, stay away from Jojo. It will consume your life.

I loved it as a kid. Lolol as an adult I see Kaoru as deli sandwich girl and I can’t watch it. The new series is decent if you are new to it.

Consider Solo Leveling. It’s good timing because Season 2 just started and it’s super hyped. I like the show more than Hells Paradise, Chainsaw Man and slightly better than Kaiju #8.

The animation and tone of the series seem so soft and PG like. I rather have a more dark, rated R type demeanor, but I guess it's not meant to be like that. I'm only on S1 E6 so I'll try my best to get through it

I think I'm about two episodes ahead of you. I don't think the show ever gets that dark. The past OVAs they released for the old show got pretty dark though so maybe those will interest you more. They go over his darker days before he became a man of peace and then kind of flash forward through all the stuff we are watching. Then they give us a decent ending for the overall series.

I still go back and watch the OVA every now and then I think it's really well done.

Lol I love 3 but it's nostalgia. It's the first jojo OVA I saw as a little kid. I had to wait like twenty years before they remade it.

I have 6 as second to last place. 1 is dull.

The first 2 episodes were so good. My guess is the season will end right at the start of the Jeju Island arc. I’m hoping we get a quick release of season 3 in Q4 2025 or Q1 2026.
