Never have I cared about an episode character(Old Man Voll) with less than 10 minutes of screen time until this latest episode of Frieren. If this isn't anime of the year, idk what. Excellent writing. The "impactful" Senshi Gorilla cracked me up.

I was so happy when they aired episode 13 and 14 of Frieren a few weeks ago. Thought it was just going to be another 12-13 episode season one run.

I've been listening to the soundtrack in my car for a few weeks now. Absolutely amazing score.
 
Newest Breaker: you know shit just got real when the art style changes.
 
So, I haven't watched the live action version of YuYu Hakusho, and I have absolutely no desire to do so as it looks terrible, and it's really not the sort of anime that should have a live action adaptation at any rate, but it's very existence did convince me to rewatch the anime, so for that I'm grateful. Moreso than most anime I watched as a teen, it holds up. Definitely more than DragonBall Z. It's definitely in contention for the GOAT Shonen battle anime.



Also, it made me realize that Kuwabara is one of the best examples of healthy masculinity in popular culture. If I could successfully combine my lack of ability to give a fuck when drunk with my ability to present a coherent thought while sober I'd elaborate further, but since I cannot, I will not.

I have a some new series that I really dont follow religiously. It's a nice surprise if you find there are 2-3 new episodes to tide me over while waiting for series that you really look forward to.


Slow paced anime. Ironically using F4 racing as a backdrop.

I'm looking at some recent anime I haven't had time to watch. I just finished Mashle season 1. So stupid and so funny. Show is like Harry Potter meets One Punch Man meets Black Clover. Looking forward to season 2 or cour 2.

I'll try to take a look at Overtake.

Yeah. Mashle is retardedly funny. He's basically a Might Guy/Rock Lee in a magical world. Faraway Paladin is the closest thing to Tolkien an anime could get. I think S2 just ended. Nice and slow series as well.
 
Saw that Dorohedoro is getting another season. Never watched the first, but the manga is great.
