The Anime and Manga Thread v48

Whoa, we just went into Ranma territory for Dandadan. The romance subplot makes me smile (shut up, you know you love it!).
it’s literally perfect i love it so much.
I just wish the opening song was as good as last season's. I can't really rock out to the new OP. The ending song with its video for this season is just awesome, much better than the first season's. It's the perfect song for Dandadan to end every episode.
same, but it’s enough of a banger where i’m still watching the opening credits all the way through instead of skipping. there are some mornings i’ll listen to the s1 opening theme a few times on repeat while driving to work though. i’m gonna get a lot of mileage on that banger before i ever get tired of it

When I was voting for the crooked rigged Crunchyroll Anime Awards, under the nominations for Best Voice Performance, I chose the voice actress for Momo from Dandadan because I really love the way she delivers her lines.

Ever wonder what anime would look like if they used western color palette(Simpsons/ King of the Hill) ?

From the creator of Nichijou. Basically 4-5 sketches per episode of light humor. Good enough to watch if you're bored waiting for other series to catch up.

Just don't confuse City the Animation with Nukitashi the Animation if you're letting little kids watch it lol.

Yeah. My daughter and I love "normal" sounding characters, not the high pitched standard. She reminds me of Wota of Wasteful Days of High school Girls, which I highly recommend.

TAKOPI'S ORIGINAL SIN

Sometimes, I like to watch an anime episode at night before going to bed to make me sleepy (because of the reading of subtitles). Last night, I played Takopi's Original Sin. I ended up watching five episodes. I still don't quite know how to describe it but it's definitely a top-tier type of anime. Animation is excellent. I won't say anything else. Don't do any research, just go in blind and be surprised.

Ok I do know how to describe it but it's going to be spoilery, so don't click. Powerful, funny, sad and depressing

Just finished episode 6 of Takopi's Original Sin. Didn't know that it was just an ONA and that was the last episode. Glad it's just 6 episodes, I don't think my heart could take more of it lol.

Glad it ended on a happier note.

need to get caught up on DDD, however Clevatass is fire, one piece is amazing, sakamoto 2 is alright brainrot, hero X goes to mid to epic mid episodes....
Clevatess is really good, but I REALLY feel the artstyle doesn't match the dark fantasy story. It needs a darker more mature style, the colors are way too bright and the eyes are too big.

Imagine it emulating the style of berserk 97 or bebop (but updated)

It's interesting to look back on Marineford , Garp really held back there also Sengoku probably saved Akainus life. Also the Red Haired pirates did have mercy on everyone, the Marines wouldn't have been able to stop them , Blackbeards crew wasn't fully formed yet either. I think power wise Shanks has the edge on Blackbeard especially with his Haki and Blackbeard seems to be especially reliant on devil fruits , Blackbeard strikes me as a Brawler just takes his opponents best shots , Law took the next step after beating Big Mom but Blackbeard was smart to ambush him before Law Fully grasped the experience he got fighting Big Mom and Kaido.
Nice to find a fellow One Piece fan, look, I wanted to show you this, this is my tier list, currently and by EOS

Watched Demon Slayer The Movie: Infinity Castle. It is exactly how I imagined it was going to be with lots of isolated fights and lots of flashback origin scenes. Basically it was like watching 6-7 episodes of the series on the big screen. Overall, I enjoyed it and felt more satisfying compared to the Mugen Train movie. Oh and the music rocked, it really helped set the mood for the fights.

Onmyo Kaiten is an ok series until this last episode. It went full Magic Knight Rayearth. I had a feeling it would turn out this way.

<damn>

First five episodes down. So far, so good. I don't know how to describe it - a dystopian sci-fi dramedy for viewers of all ages?

I agree, it's good. Here's what I said about it:
There was a hidden gem in the last Spring anime season - APOCALYPSE HOTEL. It's a unique and quirky post-apocalyptic, slice of life comedy. The early episodes gave off major Wall-E vibes. The animation is top quality. The opening song is so catchy and the dancing is so adorable that I always don't skip the intro.

GACHIAKUTA

This is one of the pleasant surprise this Summer anime season. It's the typical action power fantasy series but at least set in a unique world. Not saying it's awesome (yet) but eight episodes in, it's alright. The best thing about it is the animation is consistently high quality. The artwork reminds me from My Hero Academia with its big, bold ink lining.
