The Anime and Manga Thread v48

It is a bit embarrassing for grown men to watch a small girl as mc, however its essentially sherlock holmes style with traditional village backdrop. It’s a worthwhile show.

A new one I picked up this season

From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman

Similar to I Perry everything, not as annoying
Yeah, From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Groomer, I mean, Swordsman is also one of the new spring anime series that I look forward watching each week.

The art also looks like Parry. His former students wanting to swallow his sword is offputting. I dislike any anime that plays with harem themes.

Sword of the Demon Hunter is temu Demon Slayer. Still fun.
I don't mind it. I just get frustrated with pussy main characters who don't make a move or avoid the advances of his hot female comrades.

Sword of the Demon Hunter is cool also. I just wished the animation quality was consistent. First half of episode one was good, then it just dropped after that.

Though I just consider these a decent watch and not much else, I'll give props to these recent anime series where at least the main character got some action.

- The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World
- Re:Monster

I've seen like the first two episodes I think. Animation looked great. I just forgot to finish the series back then.

I finished it,was good until last like 8 eps when series jump the shark. Not legendary level like some animes but good enough to watch until those last 8 eps

Has a very good opening must day lol

TO BE HERO X
You guys should check out this new anime. (It's a Chinese-Japanese production to be accurate) Five episodes have aired so far and I think this is one of the best shows of the spring anime season. Gorgeous visuals and amazing action sequences. It has a similar setting with My Hero Academia (also reminded me a little of The Boys) where superheroes exist and some of their powers are derived on how popular they are with the public.

Can't believe Ao Ashi S2 was finally announced. Sucks that it probably won't be released for another year though. Not as actioned packed as Blue Lock, but a much more realistic sports anime.

Alright started kingdom, apperantly goat level manga but poor quality anime in first seasons (gets better later)

Waaaay better than Blue Lock. Pompadour guy got it made. He'll probably marry the sponsor's daughter.

It's also important to have the correct mindset going into Frieren. Remember, this is not a fast-paced, action-oriented type of anime. This is more an introspective, chill, slow-paced, slice of life type of anime with great characterizations and profound themes.
Apothecary Diaries was what inoculated me against the instinct to ditch the series... I'm five episodes into it and I'm happy with how sedate the pacing is without it being boring or too cheesy.

I guess an elf and a human experiences time differently in the same way humans and dogs do. Its an interesting premise to explore, and so far it's been done quite well. Plus the animation is very quietly exceptional which surprised me.

Another martial arts webtoon I've been enjoying. It's of the 'neglected genius' subgenre. Nice artwork, fun protag.

Very interesting show, however I’m not liking the animation, it’s missing facial expression, and it’s tough to get vested in the characters, it’s more deception and drama than hero work….. needs much longer episodes if it plans on so many characters and development.

To Be Hero X is clearly copying the Arcane style of animation. I like it. I'll pay close attention to their facial expressions the next time I watch it but I thought there was nothing wrong with it to my recollection.

It's still early but I feel that they really are building towards something epic.

Where r u watching it on?

Been watching kingdom for week straight, very good after you make it through first 2 seasons

This is one I've been enjoying more than I figured I would. It's got more slice-of-life and romance than I typically enjoy, but it still works for me. It's an isekai of the into-the-game type, but the twist is that the MC is doing his best to maintain the original plotline despite his presence's disruption. And as the series goes on he's having to go further and further afield to try and maintain the status-quo.

Anyone watch darling in the franxx??

Wondering if worth watching

I've seen it like 3 times now. I love it. A bit perverted here and there which I'm not a huge fan of (but kind of makes sense later on) but overall the story is really good and heads in a direction I wasn't expecting. It's a one and done season on top of it so that's also nice.
