It's slow. There is like a Vinland Saga farm arc type of season. It does pick up at the end though. Even with the slow parts, it is like a solid 6-7.5/10. I enjoyed it but my other friends didn't like the woke stuff.

This season of Jobless reincarnation was a bit slow and closer to a slice of life in some ways. but I enjoyed it and I think next season will be full of action.

That's surprising because the friend who told me it's still good also hates woke stuff but never mentioned anything like that.

It’s pretty woke. There are several gay characters. There is an implied buttsecks scene.

You mean Alucard and those two assasins?! C'mon, that's not woke at all. It's just a vampire orgy. People had them at all stages of human existence.

Oh stop it. It is what it is. Castlevania is woke as hell. They race swapped several characters too. You can tell the writer doesn't know much about the original lore of the game. They went into girl power and vampire politics instead. You didn't cringe when the only time they brought in some Asian characters and they are the fuckme incest twins? Alucard wasn't gay in the game. The show wasn't bad at all but it's definitely woke.

I don't know shit about the games. Never played them. Incest assasin twins still doesn't sound woke to me but yea, changing characters to please a younger audience always sits wrong with the older folks. I don't mind, it's nothing new for thousands of years as well. But whatever gets your blood pumping.

And no, I didn't cringe. Alucards sexuality is not my concern. It's up to the writers.

It drops off a little then comes back super strong. Animation and gore are good enough to get you through the slow parts though imo. Great series, I literally just found out through this thread there's a new season coming. I'm fucking stoked

It's woke because the worlds most femme vampire goes both ways? lol Hate to break it to you but the aristocracies of that implied era and most other irl eras were all fucking each other. Vampires in many iterations from way before the current era have been notably more sexually open. It comes with the immortal territory. I don't feel for a second anything was forced or took away from the story. I hate diversity for the sake of diversity but the characters and storylines were all coherent and fleshed out. I think it's a bit reductive to call anything with some gay shit and diverse characters "woke"

It is woke because it ignores all the original lore. You don't seem to get what I am saying. They force this diversity for the sake of diversity for this series.

Doesn't matter. It's a pretend anime studio from Texas. Doesn't count. Japan is still relatively based.
