The Anime and Manga Thread v47

I really need to wait till bleach finishes, it's so good I get pissed off when the episode ends.

Just binged watched CyberPunk and not sure if I ever enjoyed an Amine series more. Great soundtrack as well!
It's kinda sad but it's a one and done. Try out super crooks if you didn't see it. It's actually not bad for what it is.

Anyone else watch My Hero? Shigaraki becoming OP now. Hoping to see a huge boost with Kaachan, Todoroki and of course Midoriya.

I love MHA. Shigaraki is becoming OP but don't forget Midoria is unlocking new Quirks as he goes, he has what? two right now? and there were 6 users in total? I imagine Midoria will get OP, Bakugo will get angry and Todoroki will do fuck all but be helpful.

Never was a football fan but Ao Ashi's breakdown of tactics and strategies aside from the human drama of being in a youth club is just amazing in my ignorant opinion.

Any football fans here itt?
Yeah I watch the sport and I caught up on the manga a bit before the anime came out. Never would have thought I’d ever read about Watford beating Liverpool in a manga lol, but it’s very well done you can tell the author really knows his stuff with all the irl references and stuff going on during the games. One of my favorite ongoing series for sure

Hope the anime gets more seasons as it gets better from there, would really like to see Tripone and Ren animated, and everything past the anime with my GOAT Akutsu

Not sure if you’ve read the spin-off with Ashitos brother but if not that’s a great read as well. It was on a hiatus for awhile but is coming back this week

Been watching Golden Kamuy and this anime is a bit weird. The first season is very serious and raw. Then the second season everyone just gets a bit silly. It's still a good show and I'm enjoying it but it's just weird how almost all the characters went from being very serious to just kind of weird. A lot of homoerotic scenes and the dude with the messed up face gets really weird.

Overall good show but I can't really binge it. I watch and episode or two and then come back to it later.
Nothing homo about sumo wrestling with your pals bro

I keep up with the anime (literally just watched the episode that came out today) but like the manga more its is a top 5 manga I’ve ever read, I love it. The anime skips a lot of arcs in S2, but at least some have been made into OVAs, like Shiraishis backstory. I’ve never seen a series that develops so many characters and does it well. I find the gags funny for the most part but it actually gets a lot more serious/plot driven for the most part as it goes on. If “weird face guy” is Tsurumi he really clicks for me starting at the end of S2 on, he’s an incredible antagonist

Plenty of people saying they like Chainsaw man. Is it similar to jujitsu kaisen? Which anime would you compare it to?

I just don't like how he looks like with that head of his lol.

Only attack on titan and my hero academia for me. Il watch chainsaw man when I find an English dubbed version tho

Any good anime movie on Hulu you recommend? Just trying to download a movie to watch on the plane. I already downloaded all the S3 episodes of MoB Psycho 100 that will keep me preoccupied. I know there's Chainsaw Man series, but I wanted to wait until it was over. Also have Netflix so I guess that too.

Netflix has this bubble anime that's decent. Kind of falls off during the second half but still worth a watch. Especially for something to watch on a plan. Heard nothing but good things about Cyberpunk anime but haven't seen it yet.

Yea it is very good at developing characters. Which from what I've seen from other anime trying to do the same thing is not very easy at all. Ogata has been a personal favorite of mine. Guys a real POS but I love his back story. Same with the dude who has a weird face that you mentioned.

Thankfully the homo stuff ended pretty much soon after I made that post. Season 3 was fantastic. Even with the immortal being split from that girl most of the time. Going to take a break and let more of season 4 come out before I start watching it.

I'm stacking up lots of great anime right now just waiting for the dubs to finish.

Lupin Goemon's Blood Spray is pretty good in terms of action.

I'll look into those. Thanks!

They are adapting this last arc of Bleach very well.

Love the remixes of old OSTs.

Wish Kubo had more time to create his vision on paper but the anime is doing it justice.

Been binging season 5 of my hero academia. Even though the heros are a bit lame sometimes, the voice acting, animation and story are pretty good. It just feels like a high quality show.
