I've seen guides out there. Honestly though from what I saw you weren't skipping as many episodes as I expected. At least for the first 60 or so episodes from what I saw. Not sure the show has as much filler as something like Naruto.

Kaidos a straight G. Thinks he killed Luffy, gets pulled up, in Dragon form, to the roof by the person he thought he killed, apologizes, and basically says let's rock.

Also I'm not sure if I like that Luffy has such a mythical fruit. I think it would have been cooler if his creativity made a simple paramecia so strong.

I think there was a guide called like One Pace or something. There isn't as much filler as say Naruto, I've heard its the pacing that makes it such a slog to get through.

Yeah, I mentioned it earlier in the same thread. I dropped it because of that pace. Some of their arcs are so horrible to get through. I just couldn't get through the Dressrosa arc.Great anime though.

Ranking of Kings is probably the best new show overall this season. You'd probably enjoy that - recommend the sub version, for sure. Once I got past the art style (which I disliked, initially) the show just takes off. Excellent pacing, just a shame it's over now. ;(

I actually liked that thus was handled real well , the reason why Luffy wants to be the Pirate King is because he believes the PK is the most free person in the world and his DF's awakening unlocks that let's his imagination run wild. This chapter to me was even better than the hype also makes me wonder about Shanks , he stole the Gomu Gomu no MI from that CP0 agent years ago and he essentially entrusted Luffy to have it but when he met with the Gorosei it was implied that he talked about Luffy , I don't know if he meant that as a Warning to them to back off or if Shanks was trying to use them to possibly subdue Luffy the whole thing looks murky now.

Also a nice hand in hand piece that Ace then Sabo had the Flame Flame fruit, as now Luffy himself looks to be an embodiment of Fire as the Sun God Nika.

I'll have to wait and see what Oda does with it, but I'm not sure so far. Luffy was already special in the One Piece universe, he's Monkey D Luffy after all, and now he has an extremely special devil fruit on top of that. Feeling a little too close to 'chosen one'.

Also the World Government comes off as incompetent as fuck. If they were so worried about this fruit for all these years you'd figure they would just assassinate anyone who's fruit gives them stretchy powers. They already do all sorts of shady shit.

Also it seems like an almost certainly now that Blackbeards fruit is going to be something akin to Luffys. He's a logia but not a logia at the same time and when he gets hit he takes extra damage.

Even though if feels like the chosen one trope it's almost like Oda built in some story points to try to subvert that a bit , because if you follow the story early on its almost set up for us to think that Roger is Luffy's dad , because we didn't find out that dragon was his father until over 400 chapters in. Also killing off Ace who was actually Rogers son felt it was trying to augment that point . There is still mystery with Dragon and also the Will of D.

I agree with you about how incompetent the world government is , in particular CP9 and CP0 your telling me that a Risng Star in Strawhat Luffy who takes down Ennis Lobby with literally hundreds of Witnesses to his Rubber Powers doesn't raise suspicion that he possibly has the fruit they were looking for ? The only think I can think of is that the World Government for years assumed that Shanks was still in possession of it and since he was so influential and powerful he made him think that he and his crew had it, now the fact that the World Government showed up to Wano and was trying to kill Luffy makes me wonder what exactly is Shanks overall goal. It's about time that they met because after this it is not a Stretch to give say " The Great Pirate Monkey D Luffy , the Man closest to the title of King "

For Blackbeard his DF might very well be the Rival to Luffys with the Sun vs the Darkness.

The end of this ARC sets up that the Straw Hats can face any Pirate Crew , Luffy is essentially on Par or great than the Other Yonko and would more than likely be able to go life and Death with Akainu . The main question mark is how powerful Imu is or since Blackbeard steals DFs how powerful his crew is.

Still watching To your Eternity and I'm really enjoying it. You can see it is the same writer as A Silent Voice, but its a completely different style. Absolutely fantastic.
I'm intrigued as to why Golden Kamuy Season 4 has moved to Brain's Base (The same studio as To your Eternity) and what impact that will have on the art.

I might need to look into this. Show has potential but yea a lot of nonsense filled in. Similar to Naruto really. Great idea\show but they throw in so much junk it's hard to rewatch. I rewatched it all with Naruto Kai and it's such a better show. Especially because they removed the nonstop flash backs about stuff you've already seen 10+ times.

One Piece and Naruto at their best would easily qualify them as the GOATs. I just wish the pacing and writing were more concise. The world building and characterisations are the best in Shonen.

I started getting back into anime because of the pandemic. I am pretty normie though. I thought I like anime but there are slice of life, hentai and weird fan service stuff. That is all next level weird stuff to me.
