Trying to get through One Piece again. The anime

Started where I left off, the war to save Ace. Great arc with a lot of fun fights.

Fishman Island is still one of the worst arcs in the entire story. So boring, and disappointing after all the power up talk everyone had.

At Dressrosa now, and I am liking it much better being able to go through it at once, rather than one a week.

I dropped it somewhere in the 700 episodes in Dressrosa. There's this portion where Luffy is getting beaten by that spring guy and it was just so stretched out over like 4 episodes with him just taking shots and shouting 'Bellamy'. I didn't even get at which point those two bonded to have those sort of scenes.

I'm done with it.

And now I'm depressed... cause MT hasn't had an announcement about a season 2 aka part 3 yet and Horimiya covered the entrity of the web comic in the anime...

It’s so goddamn good. All the fights in that are animated in a great way.

Eh, it’s Bellamy realizing how special and real Luffy is compared to his own boss. At least that’s how I always took it…

Been reading OPM manga. I started at chapter 84? and now at chapter 109 or somewhere around there. So much more content then when I read the webcomic years ago. Now I wish I had one of those larger screened tablets or even just a monitor since I'm reading it on my laptop.

Bastard is getting an anime!

Well I'll be damned. I haven't read any of it in probably a decade, but the series gets absolutely bonkers as it goes on. IIRC the main character actually turns out to be Lucifer or some shit. Oh, I guess that's a spoiler, but fuck it: the series has been running since the 80s, you've all had your chance to give it a shot by this point. The art in the later volumes is actually really impressive at times and nothing like the 80s schlock it started as.

It ended up being the series that made the best use of black space I think I've ever read. It's ability to make a page so dark but still highly readable is not something easy to accomplish.

The Lazy Lord Masters the Sword [40] - The cat continues to be too cute.
Shinsu Jeil Sword [79] - What an arrogant ass. Looking forward to the beatdown.
Mercenary Enrollment [70] - There's definitely going to be fallout from this. No way a punk like that lets this go, even after a broken finger.
Eleceed [146] - Kaiden and Kartien kitties are top tier.
Hero Killer [41] - So much for the shoulder angel being a voice of reason. lol
Rebuild World [30] - Tense chapter.
Wind Breaker [371] - Dom continues to be the best.
The Return of the Crazy Demon [32] - MC not fucking around. No bargaining allowed.
Bungo [280] - That was an interesting art style shift for the flashback/memory section.
Shinsu Jeil Sword [80] - Mc sure is a button pusher.
Kill the Hero [86] - Dang, the hips on the new chick.
Arcane Sniper [58] - Ooh, new paladin lady.
The Ride-On King [41] - Suddenly, dragon suplex!

Fair point. She does have that effect. I just find large parts of the series...very cringey and unpleasant.

I've been really enjoying Ranking of Kings, as long as it doesn't mess up the landing, it could be an Anime of the Year contender.

Fair point. She does have that effect. I just find large parts of the series...very cringey and unpleasant.

I enjoyed for popcorn silliness. The other heroes in it I want to punch in the face though.

Anyone who hasn't seen it, try to track down a subtitles version, it's far superior. The dub is poorly voiced & translated

I'm too attached to the original Japanese voice actors, they just feel like the characters. Inspector Lunge's deep, super even tone. Johan's super soft but believable high pitch, which in the dub just seems - coincidentally - cartoonish. I also hate the way they 'Americanized' Tenma, & dumbed down a lot of his dialogue. He needs to be a super polite super smart Japanese guy

The cool thing is, it seems some great samaritan has recently put up both in their entirety on the youtubes, so people can decide for themselves
