I had no problem tolerating Eden Zero's animation, but it was probably more because I like Hiro Mashima's art style, and not so much how the action was implemented

I enjoyed it 100%, but almost every fight was a slide show. JC Staff put themselves under tremendous strain by taking on 50000000 projects a year.
 
What are some shows that are considered to have insane fight animations?

I like Demon Slayer, but imo it doesn't have the GOAT tier animation that everyone says it does, but it does have some great moments where the story, action, music, and flashbacks all come together

Not a series, but the movie Sword of the Stranger often comes up in discussions for top-tier fight animation.

Is there a boxing anime that came out in 2020 or 2021 that is also nicely animated? Maybe I'm just making this up...

Maybe thinking of Megalobox? Though its from 2018. I haven't seen it but I think its well regarded. I seem to remember a lot of people saying it felt like a throwback to late 90s era shows like Cowboy Bebop.

new season just got confirmed like a few days after this post, was gonna mention it here now

Love GK, easily my fav ongoing manga atm. Really looking forward to it theres a lot of great parts I want to see animated. Also kinda found it funny given the mushoku tensei discussion itt because it’s like the literal opposite of it lol

Netflix is releasing it in chunks instead of it airing weekly. It should be 30+ episodes like the other parts
 
Started reading Bungo Stray Dogs and One punch man the other day. I’ve watched them so it’s a bit of a refresher, plus BSD has a new season announced. Dazai is one of my favorite characters, all the flashbacks when he was in the mafia are so good. OPMs art is incredible

It’s really good. Haven’t seen season 2 yet though. Based on what I read about the plot I’m n no rush to watch it but I will eventually.
