The amount of people thinking Colby has anything for Khamzat baffles me.

Oh, and he won that round and the fight.

Tell me a guy that Colby beat that was even half as good as Burns?... I'll wait.

What's with this 'Khamzat has great striking' narrative? He had a war with Gilbert, who's not even that great a striker, that's Khamzat's strongest feat in the striking realm, what am I missing?

He obviously has power, but zero head movement, doesn't use his range, and couldn't even drop Gilbert over 3 rounds, when Usman was dropping him with jabs.

You're missing alot. Not to say he doesnt make mistakes though.
 
If khamzat gets it done he needs to brute force it and be quick. if colby can weather the early storm he could absolutely win

but i think khamzat takes it. he gets colby down and he's not getting back up. colby can't threaten bjj subs like gilbert.

The damage, wear and tear and exhaustion Khamzat would’ve laid on him will be completely gone and he will rally to take the decision win.

Khamzat never proved that he's tiers above the WW division like you make it sound.

The one time he fought a top 5 opponent he arguably lost after having a dominant 1st round.
 
In a three-round environment, I'd absolutely agree with you. But the five rounds really does change things and Khamzat has given me nothing to have faith in or get particularly excited about in that regard. I think he's a serious finishing threat in those first three rounds or might just do enough damage to bank them... but the narrative being presented by those backing Covington arguing stating that Chaos will weather the early storm to drown the bigger, more explosive man late is a compelling one in its own way. I think anyone who doesn't acknowledge it as a possibility is being every bit as delusional as the Colby disciples saying stuff like "COLBY SHOWS KUMQUAT LEVELS 50-44 EASY MONEY LOL".

Disclaimer: I'm about the farthest thing from a Colby fan, mind you. Plus a while ago prior to the Khamzat/Gilbert fight I actually theorized that between Burns and Covington, I theorized that Durinho would be the tougher stylistic challenge of the two for Borz.
 
Colby has a very deceiving and inflated record. I really dislike giving fighters credit because they lost to a great fighter.. which is basically colby main claim to fame with usman x2

Khamzat destroys him
