The amount of people thinking Colby has anything for Khamzat baffles me.

Boxing? Pretty sure upsets happen in that sport all the time
Not as much as in MMA. In boxing being the better boxer usually means you win.

In MMA there are just too many ways to lose.

You can be the better fighter in every discipline except for one and get beaten in that aspect.

Correct, I’m definitely having a feeling Shertards’ blind rabid disdain for Khamzat’s recent behaviour renders them completely unable to analyze a potential matchup in a non biased way.

Literally could say the exact same thing in regards to Colby not getting his proper dues

I don’t see how khamzat has a chance. He’s got one nostril and can barely cut weight. Colby throws 600 baby punches and kicks per round

I am one of them, I just wanna chuck my name in the ring so I can be mocked later!
I do think their wrestling will be close to even, I do think Colby is more technical but hittable which is a huge problem against Khamzat. I think that Colby has the tools to survive and absolutely drown Khamzat in the championship rounds.

I get what you're saying, Colby will have to survive hell to make it to round 4/5 and to then expect him to just easily win those rounds is a big ask. Even if Colby is "winning" the rounds he will eat some shots that will be borderline not survivable. I don't think he's going to look perfect and clean, but i expect him to easily win 4 and threaten to stop 5.

I can't base this on anything, haven't seen Khamzat try and pace a 5 round fight. I've seen him put a pace in a 3 round fight that would drown absolutely anyone and he did win the 3rd, so I guess for now it's just a question to be answered.

I put the fight like 55-45 for Khamzat to win, but I absolutely think Colby is one of his toughest matchups. The only issue is his lack of finishing ability, which is what would make Usman a slightly tougher matchup.

If this fight gets made it will be an absolute mismatch. Khamzat is faster, stronger, taller, has more reach, has better striking, better wrestling, is more aggressive and has better submissions.

Colby is an inactive 35 year old fighter that has fought a legion of 37 year olds and the champ (twice).

The narrative is that Colby’s only way to victory is outcardio him. Everyone including his hardcore fans doesn’t even deny that he’s not going to take the first two rounds. But here’s the thing: appearantly in the 3rd or 4th round Khamzat will most definitely gas and Colby, being some mythical phoenix fighter, will rise up in the 3rd or 4th round completely fresh, as if he had been fully healed by our lord and saviour Jesus Christ himself. The damage, wear and tear and exhaustion Khamzat would’ve laid on him will be completely gone and he will rally to take the decision win.

Something like that innit? Did I describe it right?
other people have pointed out, but ill emphasize: there is a reason ufc has not made this fight. the ufc likes hazmat and wants to build him up, and colby could potentially derail those plans. if they were as confident in hazmat as you are, they would have booked this fight already.
