The American Gun Rights Thread Vol. 3

You know your argument sucks when you have to bring up male genitalia.

Just food for thought, but if my goal was to steal guns and I caught wind that you had 30... Would I rather risk my neck stealing 30 guns in 30 homes or would I just go after you?

I've never seen stats, but intuition tells me the one gun might be more easily accessed whereas the 30 are likelier secured in a safe. Never had a break-in personally. Don't expect one with the three noisy golden retrievers and retired neighbor (and relative lack of crime). As far as your decision-making goes, clearly it's better to rob the house with no guns and no dogs. ;)

Here's a little snack back your way. No one tool does every job so why own only a crescent wrench when I could have a socket set?

So let me get this straight...a guy breaks into your house, the dogs get shot or knocked out...are you really gonna stand their and contemplate which fucking gun is the appropriate "tool" for the situation?

give me a break.

give me a break.

He wasn't referring to just hd. Notice how he said "every job". Conceal carry, range fun, hunting, pest control, etc. A lot of choices. What might be good for a small deer at close range isn't good for an elk at long range and vice versa.

Yeah I suppose you're right. It must be heaven to live in a country with a government that can decide to ass rape you of all your rights whenever they have a crisis large enough to get away with it.

have you even been following along with your presidential election???

corporations have shit fucked you now for the past 40 years...and it's only going to get worse.

but i don't live in a country where every night i fear their might be a break in. the way this thread makes it sound, it's like the united states is the mad max of the planet. and that's just fucking pathetic in it's own right considering you are an advanced nation...

but i'd wager that the percentages of actual home invasions or break ins is more or less on par with other comparable countries...the only difference being that an american is absolutely fucking paranoid about it and needs to hug a gun for assurance.

that's honestly what i'm gathering here from this thread. it's 1 of two pathetic truths;

- either break ins happen at a frequency consistent enough to warrant such constant fear mongering...which in itself is fucking pathetic.

or

- it's no better or worse than any other country, it's just m'uricans are scared to death with paranoia.

so which is it?

so which is it?

Being prepared and not choosing to be a victim isn't being afraid. I don't wear a seat belt because I'm afraid. I don't have a fire extinguisher because I'm afraid of fire.

I don't know why anti's act like owning a gun = afraid.

As far as stats this what a website listed.

  • The estimated number of household burglaries that occur every year: 3.8 million
  • The percentage of rapes that occur because of a home invasion incident: 60%
  • 7% of all household burglaries results in some form of a violent victimization.
  • 2 million homes targeted annually
  • 61% of offenders were unarmed when violence occurred during a burglary while a resident was present.
  • The percentage of home invasions that occur with an offender who is armed with a firearm of some sort: 12%.
  • 38% of the assaults that are reported to law enforcement officials happen during the events of a home invasion.
  • A third of all home invasions occur when someone is at the home.

Yes that's right.

For when you need to shoot 30 different things, their happens to be 30 different guns you might need for the job.

Pardon me while I laugh at that...

If you are referring to range fun part of that then I don't see the problem...

Serious hunters often own and use many calibers.

.22, 22-250, 243, 270, 308, 30-06, 300wm, and a larger caliber like .338 or 375 or whatever. Then certain types of hunting is different. I'm just going to name one example. Large game stalking in a dense area. You want large caliber, low weight, lower magnification scope or open sights...

Then you have shotguns. 12 and 20 gauge and different set up and uses usually means a couple-few of each caliber. Then some people use revolvers like 44 magnum,. 460 xvr, 500 s&w.

Your ignorance keeps making you look stupid. Just because you don't understand doesn't make it ridiculous.

Also you keep deflecting back to previous posts. Clearly you didn't understand/read correctly cubo's point and got wrecked on that last post so you deflect to a past post.

Design fella, look it up. Form follows function, remember?

You could also potentially have a piano fall on your head. Or you could potentially get hit by car....or you could potentially drown in a swimming pool. Does this require you to wear safely helmets, flashing neon lights for cars to see you or scuba diving equipment?

...

What argument do you think you're making here? The only thing you're writing about is what you determine your own risk to be. You never answered my questions. Why are you more qualified to decide what amount of risk someone should think is acceptable.

Guy, you even have someone in this thread telling you he had someone break into his house. Are you going to tell him he should be outlawed from having a fucking pistol grip on his weapon?

Anyway, I hope by now you're not as thick to think you have any kind of ground to stand on. You don't. You're all about the emotional outbursts so hopefully all that is just you trying to save face.

Uhm not really...no.

We can leave this with I'm very happy I live where I live, without fear of being attacked...and you can live where you live where you have fear of being attacked, hug the need to be armed and the odds of you getting shot are drastically increased because everyone else has the same fears you have.

You can defend your way of life all ya want, but I have no face to save. I'm proven right at every mass shooting thread that has someone going on a rampage with a pistol gripped style assault rifle versus stock. So look for mypost the next time there is a thread about some poor school getting shot up. Chances are you will see something like this;

It's not my country fucking up while claiming to be the greatest country in the world. You are free of course to have all the arms you want. I don't know what line you personally feel is excessive for a man to arm himself under the guise of being safe, and I really don't care. I'm just glad I don't live there.

Uh...Marc Lepine had a wood stocked hunting rifle when he shot up Ecole Polytechnique, as did the guy who shot up Parliament a couple of years ago. No pistol grips involved.

Wtf is wrong with you.

No face to save. You keep making a complete ass of yourself.

Having the opinion that people shouldn't own guns is fine. People are entitled to their opinion. Making agreements with ignorance and retardation flowing from them is quite a bit different however.

Why do y'all keep feeding the previously banned gun controll?

Slow day, kinda entertaining to see what some jackass, who doesn't know how guns or pistol grips work, explain to people who do, why they shouldn't have them.

...you haven't said one thing in this thread that discounts anything I've said.

That's the funny part.

:)

Actually, I've discounted a lot of things you've said, like your claim of how pistol grips make you run, duck and shoot better.

BRB, repainting my car to see if it drives faster.

No...not really no.

Their are weapons that, by design are better in combat situations. This thread even proved my point when douche talked about the need for 30 guns because no 1 gun can handle every situation as well.

No one in this thread can discount that a pistol grip is better suited for combat situations, and that it's obviously going to be favored by those who wanna just go on a rampage against other people...but hey, that's ok that those style of guns are readily made for the public. home invasions are a thing ya know...apparently everyone is getting their homes invaded now in the #1 country in the world!

So when people talk a little common sense and start suggesting that "hey maybe we could just ease up on selling guns that are better suited for combat to people"...wow...the fucking freak out!

DON'T TAKE MY GUNS!

It's a joke. But the jokes on you because in the end, you are the ones getting shot.

And I laugh because you can't fix stupid and this is like pure Darwinism playing itself out I guess.
