Holy Shit, my plat ran out and I tried to visit Sherdog on Mobile... It's barely scrollable on mobile with the amount of ads on top, below, and between posts. not to mention the pop up banner

Even on the laptop it's like half ads on the page at all time.

How are people using Sherdog without plat? Must be Adblock or something.

I'm gonna resume my plat shortly because there's just no way I can use sherdog like this.

Nothing says we don’t care about user experience like FULL SCREEN ADS.
The ads on this site have been really bad for a long time but I would really like to know one situation where reoccurring full screen ads is appropriate or acceptable. Not assuming it matters but I used to be on this site daily now I probably check it 2 times a month. Ads are 1000% the reason The UI is downright hostile.

This is a screenshot I took on my school computer. It took 3 attempts to post this because this screen keeps coming up. I typically use ad blocker on my home computer but this is my school computer and haven't done so. I've not had this issue before, but just in the past couple days it's been unavoidable. Is there anything that can be done?

Man I hate being the guy to complain. The page refreshes are insanely disruptive reading or responding in threads. It’s like you can’t compose a response without losing most of it with the obnoxious refreshes that happen way too often. It wouldn’t be so bad if the ads refreshed without the entire content of the page. They happen too frequently.

A little more insight.

When it refreshes you lose everything you typed up. If you refresh the page the auto save feature may or may not bring it back (partially or fully).

But also if you’re watching embedded media it will refresh and make you have to rewatch. Even a short Twitter video (forget a longer YouTube one).

So basically you should compose your post on a document and copy and paste it over. Open the the media to watch it on the social media sites (which defeats the purpose of embedding.)

But as far as reading through threads goes the only work around would be to screenshot and read. That still doesn’t help with the missing posts that the middle of the page advertisement removes.

A lot of wonky stuff is happening all at once to slow down and cripple the users experience. It’s like trying to read a book on a windy day.

I try to make a reply and lose it because the browser crashes and has to restart
