IT will be Vargas. Vargas is a top rank guy, just had his big fight canceled and needs a dance partner himself. He'll take whatever Bob and Manny throw his way, he's never been a top dog.

All these PBC guys Arum was mentioning was just smoke and mirrors. They've had Vargas waiting in the wings the whole time.

But the risk to reward is much better if you fight Pacquiao. You are probably more likely to lose to Pac, but people will not judge you as harshly for it, you will make more money, and if you win you become one of the few guys to beat an icon.

I just think it has become completely ridiculous how afraid these younger guys are to aim high. Floyd and Pac got to where they are because they wanted to fight the very best.

I honestly don't even think that Danny Garcia likes boxing. Everything he does seems to hint that he just wants to collect average paychecks and get out. At least Keith Thurman seems motivated.

Broner got an undeservedly great offer, even.

I'm hoping for Terrance Crawford. If he beats Postol, that is a legitimately great fight.

Agreed. A Crawford fight is the best option. I love that fight. And I don't know why people hate on a Vargas fight either. That kid can fight and will come very prepared. He won't beat Pac, but it'd be exciting to watch.

Vargas is a good fighter, but he is not at the top of anybody's list so the choice would be anti-climatic. If I made a list of opponents that I would want to see Pacquiao against, Vargas would probably be 5th.

With Danny removing himself from the list, as he is apparently afraid of losing to a 38 year old, that makes Vargas the 4th pick on my list.
 
Vargas KOing Sadam Ali was great. Would like to see a fight between Vargas and Danny Garcia.

I have a feeling its pacquiao and vargas too, then pacquiao and bud next year.

Any reason why we don't hear Postol as a possible opponent if he beats Crawford? Either one would arguably make the best opponent.

Freddie trains Postol, so it's unlikely to happen. It does not have the same draw-potential either, since Postol is not American.
