Its time to pick the Event of the Year.

2019 was a good year for MMA with lots of action packed cards. New champions were crowned. Some cards had all stoppage wins. Others included multiple title fights. Which card was your card of the year? As always, include any events you feel were overlooked.

Nominees:

Let's do the vote thing!

Should have added the Rizin NYE card imo.

236 had one of the greatest main + co-main fights I've ever seen, but it wasn't that remarkable outside of those fights. All of 244's fights were great except for the co-main and Chookagian/Maia.

UFC 239

- Rockhold got Rockholded (and I like the guy!)
- The Masvidal flying knee
- Nunes KOs Holm with her own move
- Santos arguably beats Jones on one leg

Holloway vs Poirier 2.

But that Bellator card was a fun night.

I'm UFC biased for now, so I'll go with Colby/Kamaru. What insane hype, and the fight actually delivered. As for the entire card, Moreno vs. Kara-France on the early prelims?? Say no more. All in all, it was a very decent card despite the expected lame WMMA fight. Thankfully though there was only one this time.

IMO of the UFC cards, the two I was between was UFC 236, and 239. 236 because it had 2 FOTY candidates and they were incredible. Huge fights, and all around delivered. 239 was one of the beat events I’ve seen because fight after fight it felt like the card should have been over. Like I got my bang for my buck around the second fight on the card and everything after was gravy, and it gave us the KO of the year.

I can’t vote for the BMF event because to me, the ending was anticlimactic for the main event Whether it was the right thing to do or not I have no clue, but it just left a sour taste in my mouth after such a great event.

Voted UFC 244 not because of the BMF thing but fights were really awesome and high level. Thompson's kickboxing clinic was my favorite. On top of that the US president attended.

No 241? cause that would be my vote, otherwise i'll go with 245.

UFC 241 baby

Was there live.
What a fucking night.

Stipe with a hell of a comeback against DC, the return of Nate, Romero vs. Costa war.

Guys, I get that the main and co-main of of 236 were outstanding, but 239 had it all.

-Rockhold getting knocked out cold by someone the somebody "he doesn't to of this world."
-Askren taking his first loss in 5 seconds on a flying knee.
-Amanda actually knocking out Holly.
-Jon Jones actually almost losing to someone he looked legitimately concerned about.

239 had it all!

UFC 245 was the most eventful but let's not dismiss Jones' 1st loss. ;)

UFC 245 and it's not even close.
All insane fights on the main card.
