That Is Why I'll Never Attend a UFC Ticketed Event - Have you?

For me (UK cards) it’s because 1) it’s overpriced as mentioned and 2) free tickets are often distributed to public service staff. Cba to spend 500 on being there when a percentage haven’t paid a penny.

I almost went tonight! I was in town and thought about it, but went and saw Kendrick Lamar instead!
I’m definitely happy with the choice seeing how tonight’s main went!

I’ve been to many events. Pride 33, Affliction day of reckon and quite a few strikeforce/wec/ufc events. Most money I paid was for McGregor vs Poirier 3 in Vegas. And that was nowherenear as expensive as Jones vs Stipe tickets are selling for. $1000 plus fees/taxes for some shit seats. If those prices are the new normal, I guess I’ll pass from now on.

All that said, attending a UFC event is an unreal experience that should be lived at least once if you are a real fan.

I went to one event, Honda vs Zingano, only because the tickets were free.

UFC 100 was my first and favorite event I’ve attended so far. 200 was great as well, but I almost got a refund after the Jones pullout week of the fight. Friends/family have plans for UFC 300 but I’m wondering if the current owners will stack it like we are used to. That and ticket prices, may have to sit that one out.

I don't get what the point of these posts are. It's going to be sold out with or without you. The ufc doesn't need you in attendance. You bring nothing. You're poor, we get it. Let people with money make moves, you stay home and stream, stay broke and cry about it.

That is a pretty harsh way of saying it, but it is the truth. I agree that attending UFC events is very expensive and understandably out of reach for most people. You also have to understand the reality that these events are held in relatively small, ~20k seat arenas, and those tickets are not expensive to a lot of other people that do have the means to buy those tickets.

The exclusivity of attending a UFC PPV event in Las Vegas is definitely not lost on me, but welcome to the real world, and don't shit on it just because you can't afford it because attending a live UFC PPV is an amazing experience beyond any other professional sport I have experienced and completely worth the cost if you can do it.

ive been to gsp vs bisping at msg. the live events are alright, but i was still watching the tv screen that came with my seat most of the time.

Yeah my favorite event I've been to was the UFC in Atlanta with Poirier vs Holloway and Izzy vs Gastelum

back to back fights of the year
How was the crowd ? Must've been a crazy night

I went to UFC 89 and 95 but back then tickets were maybe £40.

I’ve been to a few, and luckily they were all good cards. Ticket prices are more expensive these days, and honestly I’m less interested in MMA than I used to be, so I don’t have any plans to see a live event any time soon.

UFC 146: the all HW card headlined by JDS vs Mir
UFC 162: Silva-Weidman 1. Watching Anderson Silva get KOed and lose the belt live was insane.
UFC 170: Rousey vs McMann
UFC on FOX: JDS-Stipe 1. That was a great card, it also had RDA vs Nate Diaz, Overeem vs Struve, Joanna vs Claudia, Cejudo was on the prelims. Good shit.

I’ve also been to 2 Bellator cards, both headlined by Fedor. I was at Fedor-Mir, and Fedor-Bader 1.

I wanted to attend UFC 295 in NY. Cheapest ticket is 858$ before tax. That's in 400 section range where you wont be able to see anything. Decent seats are starting from 2k.
My wife's friend was trying to talk us into a trip to NYC for that, tickets were starting at $1200. Was like 'yeah no'

Let’s be real here TS, Security wouldn’t even let you in to an event even if you tried
Too Thick, Too Dangerous, Too Sherdog

I've been to two UFC events, local fight nights. Mousasi vs Jacare and Sonnen vs Shogun. The latter was a banger, Conor was on the undercard and TD Garden was literally unbelievable for his walkout.

That said I'll stay home these days. Better views, way cheaper, and the only way I have to fight an inebriated idiot is if I catch my reflection wrong in the mirror.
And you fought him to a highly contested draw.

I’ve been to a few Bellator cards but the only ufc event I attended live was 118. Bj vs Edgar 2 and Couture vs James Toney lol

Nate Diaz beat the snot out of Marcus davis and was booed heartily by a partisan Boston crowd. Crazy to see how far Nate has come since then.

Live events are quite fun to attend. The collective energy is interesting to experience, and that's what it's really about. You can see the fights better on TV.

Prices are getting wild, though. It's over 300 bones for the nosebleeds here at events in NY.

The Sonnen vs Shogun card was utterly insane, in terms of name value. It was stacked due it being the first event for Fox, I believe.
