I said it.
I was literally talking to a stranger at a bar in tahoe and not giving a fuck about the main event.

Very disappointing.

Both dudes were a little too respectful of each other.

Wasn't the worst fight by any means, but could certainly have been better.

It was just boring because Rory couldn't figure Wonderboy out.

Maybe toughman is more your speed?

Terrible fight. 90% of the arena left before the decision was announced, i was tempted. Rory really let us down.

I was pretty tense through it waiting for something big to happen, but yeah nothing really did happen.

I guess you're not into the technical aspect of the sport. That fight was great. The two styles conflicted but there was plenty of striking. The fight just didn't have Lawler squaring up. It was a great contest between two guys who wanted the fight to be carried out in very different ways.

I actually got home from the fight and figured I'd check out Sherdog expecting to see a million posts about how this was the worse main event ever. Hell, I enjoy tactical battles, but this was ridiculous, these guys spent 5 rounds doing practically nothing. Like somebody else said, the whole arena was booing and tons of people were leaving after the 3rd round. It was one of the most boring fights I've ever seen with two guys unwilling to really do much at all.

Eh, I didn't think so, but I bet if I wasn't a MMA practitioner I would've thought it was boring. Maybe some people who train thought it was boring too, but to be fair to the fighters, is there anybody in their weightclass today who would've done considerably better?

I don't think Woodley would've, nor Condit.

Wonderboy made sure nobody can deny his right to a TS tonight, and I don't think him nor Rory looked bad tonight solidifying their status at the top of their division.

No. I enjoy technical fights. It was two trigger shy guys not willing to open up and try to do anything to NOT LOSE.

It was a great fight. Wonderboy tooled Rory on the feet and on the ground.

Did people really expected them to fight like Bosse/O'Connell?
