Most of it is smoke and mirrors.

I appreciate his efforts in the Russia-Ukraine war, though think his flip-flopping is counterproductive.

I also appreciate that he's got Israel to claim a ceasefire even though I'm not sure they're abiding by it.

The rest of the "I FIXED THESE REGIONAL CONFLICTS" claims are largely bullshit that few politicians would brag about, but of course Trump can't just do something without announcing it and claiming it's something more important than it is.

Those are the two big ones though.

Right, and as I say, my reservations are he hasn't stopped the Russia war that he claimed would end on "DAY ONE" (lol), and it's not looking likely either. I appreciate his efforts, but anyone could try and fail - I don't think it makes a difference what Trump does, frankly, so I don't see why he should be admired or lauded for something he hasn't achieved and isn't likely to achieve.

The Israel one, I think he did have a big impact, and I've actually stated my appreciation for that in the Israel-Hamas war thread. It's not like I can't recognise when the man does something effectively, but I'd be even happier if he shortened the leash further as people are still dying there and there doesn't really seem to be any valid reason for it.

Thailand is a very proud country, Thai soldiers stepping on freshly laid Cambodian landmines has been taken very seriously by nationalists, so has the firing of machine guns and rockets into Thai hospitals and schools.

Trumps demands for peace are admirable, but Thailand won't fold on his word alone, especially when Cambodian forces still go rogue along the border.
